(01) Postdoc Positions
Summary/title: Research Fellow (0.5 FTE)
The Department of Medical Statistics (MSD), which includes the LSHTM Clinical Trials Unit, is a leading innovative centre for biostatistical methodology relevant to medical research. We wish to appoint a statistician to work on a project to identify the most promising outcome measures for future clinical trials in Alzheimer’s Disease aimed at delaying or stopping the disease before long-term permanent damage occurs. The role will include establishing which biomarkers are the most promising outcomes for future trials, and what sample sizes are required for various trial designs. The post-holder will join a group of statisticians based in MSD, who provide statistical input within long-standing and high impact research collaborations with the Dementia Research Centre at the Institute of Neurology, UCL. The role also includes teaching of postgraduate students at LSHTM.
The post-holder must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant topic (ideally Medical Statistics or equivalent) and relevant experience in using regression models for data analysis and statistical software packages. They also must have demonstrated knowledge of longitudinal data analysis methods, and an understanding of sample size calculations. Further particulars are included in the job description.

(02) Postdoc Positions
Summary/title: Research Fellow
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow in the Population Studies Group at LSHTM. The successful applicant is to join the LSHTM team providing technical support to the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) in the evaluation of the population-level impact of the large-scale provision of azithromycin on child mortality.
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic and experience with demographic or health data collection and management. Proficiency in statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata) and/or data management software (e.g., ODK, SQL) is also essential. This appointment will require regular travels to Nigeria to collaborate with colleagues at NIMR. Further particulars are included in the job description.

(03) Postdoc Positions
Summary/title: Research Fellow, Ethiopia (0.5 FTE)
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow in the Department of Population Health (DPH) to join the Hararghe Health Research Partnership between Haramaya University and LSHTM. The post-holder will act as an analyst in a study on perinatal mortality and its risk factors in eastern Hararghe, Ethiopia.
Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in demography, epidemiology or a related field and have strong quantitative or data science skills. Further, we are looking for candidates who have experience with health and demographic surveillance data collection and analysis in Ethiopia or a related setting.
