(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoc Interventies voor jongeren in de georganiseerde criminaliteit (0,6fte)

EPIC is a collaboration of researchers from universities, colleges and relevant practice partners that will conduct research over the next four years into ways in which young people become involved in organized crime and organized crime groups, and how this can best be prevented. Three universities (the department of child and adolescent psychiatry & psychosocial care of the Amsterdam UMC, the Youth & Family department of Erasmus University Rotterdam and the department of Orthopedagogy: and Pedagogical Sciences, Forensic Orthopedagogy of Utrecht University) are partners in the EPIC consortium. responsible for the intervention research that we will conduct.

As part of EPIC, Erasmus University Rotterdam is looking for a postdoc candidate for four years for research into optimizing locally available (preventive) interventions aimed at young people in organized crime and investigating the effectiveness of these programs.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc digitale weerbaarheid en gezondheid van Rotterdamse jongeren

The ‘Reading between the Lines’ project investigates the interaction between the online and offline world and its effects on the physical, mental and social health of young people (12-16 years) in Rotterdam. A major focus is on participatory action research, where learning communities are formed to engage adolescents in all phases of the research process. An important goal is to design hyper-local interventions in co-creation with Rotterdam young people in which they use their own ideas, creativity and social influence to increase the digital resilience and health of their peers.

This project allows you to gain experience with a wide range of participatory research methods, applied to tackling a highly relevant social challenge among young people growing up in the Rotterdam region, with a potentially significant impact on health. The ultimate goal is to inform organizations such as municipalities and GGDs in creating effective policies that are tailored to challenges in our contemporary society that increasingly take place online.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position 

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc ERC SG Project Genes, Policy, and Social Inequality

We have a PostDoc opportunity for 18 months (90% research, 10% teaching) to contribute to realizing the project goals, preferably by working on WP2A or WP2B. Ideal candidates for this PostDoc position have PhD-level expertise on at least one of the main methodologies in the project. We ask applicants to briefly sketch in their application letter how they would like to contribute to realizing the project goals.
