(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience

This postdoctoral position is based in the Multisensory Perception, Learning and Attention lab, headed by Prof. Uta Noppeney, at the Donders Centres for Cognitive Neuroimaging and Neuroscience. The overall goal of the lab is to understand how the brain enables us to perceive, understand and interact effectively with the multisensory world around us. To define the underlying computations and neural mechanisms we combine psychophysics, computational modelling (Bayesian, neural network) and neuroimaging (fMRI, MEG, EEG, TMS).

The Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour is a world-class interfaculty research centre that houses more than 700 researchers devoted to understanding the mechanistic underpinnings of the human mind. Excellent, state-of-the-art research facilities are available for the broad range of neuroscience research that is being conducted at the Donders Institute. The Cognitive Neuroimaging centre is equipped with four MRI scanners (7T, 3x 3T), a 275-channel MEG system, an EEG-TMS laboratory, several (MR-compatible) EEG systems, and high-performance computational facilities. The Donders Institute fosters a collaborative, multidisciplinary, supportive research environment with diverse international staff. English is the lingua franca at the Institute. Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistics for High-Dimensional Datasets

The Department of Mathematics at Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands) is part of the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics, and Particle Physics in the Faculty of Science. The Department represents a broad range of research fields, including probability and statistics, pure and applied analysis, algebraic geometry and topology, number theory, functional analysis, mathematical physics, and non-commutative geometry. The group in statistics collaborates with several local, national and international groups in statistics and bioinformatics. The Department of Mathematics has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. (04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Efficient Machine Learning for Neurotechnology at the Donders Centre for Cognition

You will be embedded in the AI Division of the Donders Centre for Cognition (DCC) and the School of Artificial Intelligence (AI), both part of Radboud University’s Faculty of Social Sciences. The Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour is home to more than 700 researchers from 35 countries who collaborate in an open community and share the goal of contributing to the advancement of the understanding of natural intelligence. The objective of the position is to develop state-of-the-art AI research of international standing and to contribute to teaching on machine learning-related topics in the educational programme. (05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher at the Donders Centre for Cognition: Sensorimotor Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Technology

We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in computational models of perception and action and an interest in model and algorithm development and revalidation approaches to participate in a consortium project called ‘Smart technologies for personalized home care for neurological pediatric patients (RE:HOME)’. 

This project, involving partners from France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, is funded by Interreg North-West Europe (NWE), a European Territorial Cooperation programme contributing to a better quality of life and well-being of all NWE citizens. The aim of the RE:HOME project is to build and test a rehabilitation platform that enables home rehabilitation in a safe and controlled way through personalised feedback and monitoring of health data, rehabilitation progress and quality of life. Within this project, you will be involved in developing algorithms for monitoring and assessment of motor behaviour in the hospital and home setting, with an emphasis on sensorimotor integration within the perception-action cycle. Patient studies will be performed to explain human functioning, understand disorders, and test new technologies.  You will work closely together with colleagues from the Donders Institute and the Sint Maartenskliniek, a rehabilitation hospital in Nijmegen, and a partner within the consortium. Your responsibilities may also include some management, mentoring (PhD, MSc and BSc), and teaching related tasks.
