(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Post-doctoral researcher position on Human – Centric Artificial Intelligence (V24.0032)
The effective integration of data and knowledge in HCAI can be based on knowledge representations in the form of ontologies and knowledge graphs, while neuro-symbolic learning can be a powerful mechanism to drive knowledge-infused machine learning. The incorporation of domain knowledge is hardly achievable without the collaboration of multi-stakeholder teams, and therefore a co-creative and evaluative approach to shaping Knowledge-Infused Artificial Intelligence is needed. Your research will therefore be expected to take a multidisciplinary perspective, including both contributions in linked data and knowledge-driven AI, as well as in effective multi-stakeholder co-creative and evaluative approaches to harness domain-relevant expertise and knowledge. Pilot project-use cases will feed into the study and will offer a rich testbed for the validation of the developed approaches.
Deadline : 15 February 2024

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-doctoral researcher in Low-Resource NLP & Computational Modeling of Language Learning (V23.0848)
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher position within the research project “Polyglot Machines: Human-like Learning of Morphologically Rich Languages”, financed by a NWO-VIDI Talent Grant and coordinated by Principal Investigator (PI) Dr Arianna Bisazza. This is an interdisciplinary project at the intersection of Computational Linguistics/Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computational Psycholinguistics and Language Acquisition.
Despite the impressive advances made possible by neural networks, current NLP systems are still far from displaying the learning abilities of humans in many languages. By contrast, children around the world acquire extremely diverse languages in comparable time spans and from considerably less linguistic input than that required by neural models.
