(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Sr Research Associate – (24000587)

The Senior Research Associate in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Pulmonary/Critical Care/SleepMed department provides comprehensive senior level coordination of the research activities. Responsibilities include providing complex technical assistance to principal investigators in support of various research activities; autonomously managing the day-to-day research activities, such as: designing and planning research studies, and overseeing general data collection; serving as an authoritative source on research practices, precedents, theory, and principles; ensuring all projects are completed in a timely fashion; acting as a liaison with funding agencies, analyzing data, setting research standards, coordinating project requirements; establishing policies and procedures for a division/sub-unit; ensuring staff adheres to all policies, procedures, and professional standards within the division/sub-unit; establishing strategic objectives for division/sub-unit and providing input into divisional strategies based on functional expertise; identifying and analyzing complex problems requiring in-depth technical knowledge and experience in a specific area or discipline; selecting an appropriate course of action that requires independent judgment and typically involves change or innovation in existing procedures or techniques. In addition, the Senior Research Associate makes complex decisions within broad guidelines; establishes solid relationships with internal and external contacts in order to assess customers’ longer-term needs; acts as a communication conduit on matters of operational and strategic importance; and occasionally make formal presentations to customer groups; establishes priorities, provides training and feedback, and ensures proper planning of all projects and that they are completed in a timely fashion. Performs other related duties as assigned.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Senior Research Associate (Recruitment Only) – (16001535)

The Senior Research Associate, in collaboration with the Principal Investigators at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of clinical trials in the assigned department. Primary responsibilities include the coordination of study enrollment; oversight of study protocols; and submission of research activities per IRB regulations. The incumbent will establish and maintain databases of subjects; monitor data collection for accuracy; process informed consent paperwork; and ensure that study payment is processed and received in a timely fashion. Additional responsibilities include working independently to drive day-to-day research activities; monitoring and tracking expenditures; supporting multiple active protocols simultaneously; and working with multiple investigators while adhering with FDA, IRB, Pennsylvania, and related regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
