We are looking for a postdoc who will help us to critically assess the emerging regulatory framework for AI and digital platforms from the perspective of media organisations, journalism and citizens, identify and address emerging legal challenges. You will also help to develop guidelines for the responsible use of AI in the media and actively work together with the other (interdisciplinary) members of the lab and the media partners to solve legal questions that arise from the concrete case studies.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position Forensic Detection of Deep Fake Videos
Do you want to do research at the frontier of Artificial Intelligence to support forensic investigators? Then this position will be of interest to you. The Multimedia Analytics (MultiX) group of the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) have started the AI4Forensics lab. To strengthen the lab, we are seeking a post-doctoral researcher. The goal of the lab is to develop forensically sound innovative AI methods, which have a probabilistic interpretation, and which are accompanied by visualizations to make the methods and the results explainable to non-experts. The methods developed in the lab will in due course be used in casework of the Netherlands Forensic Institute and therefore your work directly contributes to a safer Dutch society.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc position “Human Digital Twin”
We seek a PostDoc that will contribute to the realisation of a Human Digital Twin. The research topic has some flexibility, and the specific target objectives will be formulated together with the successful candidate. It should however clearly fit in the overall vision of the Human Digital Twin. Examples of research topics would be:
- Credible and validated multiscale, multiorgan, multidisease models of human (patho) physiology;
- Advanced machine learning methods to (partially) learn Human Digital Twin models from data or to create computationally efficient surrogate models;
- Data Science methods to turn clinical and biological data into relevant information;
- Simulation platforms and cloud infrastructures, including High Performance Computing environments, for the Human Digital Twin.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Position in Experimental Quantum Physics
Our Strontium Quantum Gases Group is looking for a postdoc who wants to take part in leading the new Quantum Delta NL (QDNL) Ultracold Quantum Sensing Testbed. This group is headed by Prof. Florian Schreck and is part of the Quantum Gases & Quantum Information (QG&QI) cluster at the Institute of Physics (IoP) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). We exploit ultracold Sr gases for quantum sensing, the study of many-body physics and for quantum computing. We are collaborating with industry, startups and users to bring optical clocks to the market and explore new ways to build sensors, such as superradiant clocks or atom interferometers based on continuous atom lasers.
