Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral fellow
The high-energy astrophysics research group at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships in extragalactic high-energy astrophysics. The successful applicants will closely collaborate with the research group of Norbert Werner. The current research of the high-energy astrophysics group includes studies of clusters of galaxies, AGN feedback, Galactic centre, chemical enrichment, and galaxy evolution, as well as the use of nano/micro-satellites for monitoring the high-energy sky. Candidates with experience in cosmological simulations are particularly encouraged. The successful applicants are expected to carry out an independent research program and collaborate with the growing young, international team of researchers at Masaryk University.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral position in Regulation of Gene Expression and Molecular Carcinogenesis Group
A highly motivated candidate is invited to join a research group of Dr. Dalibor Blazek as a postdoctoral researcher. Our research team is dedicated to understand roles of CDK12, CDK11 and other transcriptional kinases in regulation of gene expression and their targeting in human disease, particularly cancer. Our laboratory at CEITEC is international and has numerous collaborations including top bioinformaticians, medicinal chemists and an innovative biotech company. The post-holder will integrate biochemistry and molecular biochemistry approaches, particularly genomics and proteomics together with bioinformatics analyses to address basic biological questions. We are particularly interested in individual with a strong expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry and expertise/interest in genome-wide bioinformatics analyses.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC – viral transcription-translation coupling
A postdoc position is available in newly established Demo lab (CEITEC, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic) to participate in research focused on structural mechanisms of transcription-translation coupling in bacteria and potentially in virus-infected mammalian cells. We are seeking a person with expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry and virology, specifically in the field of dsDNA viruses and virus-infected mammalian cells (to produce the viruses) and with some expertise in single-particle electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography. (06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC POSITION IN THE FIELD OF Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry
The postdoctoral scientist will participate on research projects dealing with the preparation of non-trivial organic molecules used to explore important areas in biology and human medicine. The current topics of interest include the development of natural products and synthetic molecules as modulators of adenylyl cyclases, protein kinases, DNA nucleases and polymerases, and ribosomes. Masaryk University (MU) is the second largest university in the Czech Republic, a member of the Compostela Group and the Utrecht Network. Founded in 1919 in Brno as the second Czech university (after Charles University established in 1348 and Palacký University existent in 1573–1860), it now consists of nine faculties and 35,115 students. It is named after Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first president of an independent Czechoslovakia as well as the leader of the movement for a second Czech university.
In 1960 the university was renamed Jan Evangelista Purkyně University after Jan Evangelista Purkyně, a Czech biologist. In 1990, following the Velvet Revolution it regained its original name. Since 1922, over 171,000 students have graduated from the university.
