(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Sr Research Associate – (23001049)

Responsibilities include providing complex technical assistance to principal investigators in support of various research activities; autonomously managing the day-to-day research activities, such as: designing and planning research studies, and overseeing general data collection; serving as an authoritative source on research practices, precedents, theory, and principles; ensuring all projects are completed in a timely fashion; acting as a liaison with funding agencies, analyzing data, setting research standards, coordinating project requirements; establishing policies and procedures for a division/sub-unit; ensuring staff adheres to all policies, procedures, and professional standards within the division/sub-unit; establishing strategic objectives for division/sub-unit and providing input into divisional strategies based on functional expertise; identifying and analyzing complex problems requiring in-depth technical knowledge and experience in a specific area or discipline; selecting an appropriate course ofaction that requires independent judgment and typically involves change or innovation in existing procedures or techniques. In addition, the Senior Research Associate makes complex decisions within broad guidelines; establishes solid relationships with internal and external contacts in order to assess customers’ longer-term needs; acts as a communication conduit on matters of operational and strategic importance; and occasionally make formal presentations to customer groups; establishes priorities, provides training and feedback, and ensures proper planning of all projects and that they are completed in a timely fashion. (02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Sr Research Associate – (23000907)

The Senior Research Associate, under the supervision of the Director, CRORA and in collaboration with the Clinical Investigators, will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of Clinical Research studies in one or more departments in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Incumbent will work independently to drive day to day research activities from study start-up to closeout. Primary responsibilities include: coordinate recruitment and enrollment of research participants; establish and maintain databases of subjects; schedule and conduct study visits; collect and enter data; register subjects and study visits in OnCore; perform Epic research billing review; maintain an up to date regulatory binder; schedule and attend sponsor visits; and prepare and submit IRB paperwork to ensure compliance with IRB regulations.  Incumbent may assist with grant or manuscript preparation and maintenance of investigator-initiated studies registered on clinicaltrials.gov. Incumbent will support multiple active protocols simultaneously, and working with multiple investigators while adhering with FDA, IRB, Pennsylvania, and related regulations. The Sr Research Associate may be assigned the team lead coordinator for a department. Performs other duties as assigned.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Associate – (23001491)

The Neuroeconomics Laboratory (PI: Dr. David Smith) at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (https://sites.temple.edu/neuroeconlab/)  is hiring for a research associate / project coordinator position. The new hire will primarily assist with a NIH-funded project that uses fMRI to examine age-related differences in social and economic reward processing. This project will be carried out in collaboration with other faculty members of the Department of Psychology at Temple University, including Drs. Johanna Jarcho, Tania Giovannetti, and Ingrid Olson. This is an ideal position for a candidate looking to gain additional research experience before applying to graduate or medical school. The research associate will be an integral member of this scientific team and will have opportunities to earn authorship on publications and present posters at scientific meetings and conferences.  Application materials will require a CV/resume and a cover letter outlining relevant research experience and skills, fit with the position, and career goals. (06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Project Associate – (23001810)

Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Project Associate performs a variety of research laboratory procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols. Specific duties may vary according to project assigned. Responsibilities include: Performs a variety of research laboratory techniques with primary focus on metabolic and reproductive function, specifically with animal model of polycystic ovary syndrome. Employee will be trained by Pl or postdoctoral fellows in the lab. Techniques to be performed include, but are not limited to: mice handling, genotyping, cell culture to maintain and expand cell lines for experiments. Cell isolation, fluorescence microscopy, gel electrophoresis, DNA, RNA isolation, western blot. Prepares and determines suitability of solutions and reagents following defined formulas and procedures. Documents and reports all experimental results. Completes required logs and supporting documents. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, routine repairs or notifying service personnel when more complex problems occur. Performs related general duties such as ordering supplies, general lab housekeeping, and maintaining safety records. Performs other duties as assigned.
