The research groups of Drs. Samuel Jenness (EpiModel Research Lab), Ben Lopman, and Kristin Nelson are seeking an post-doctoral fellow to work on several studies in the domain of vaccines and respiratory and sexually transmitted infectious disease epidemiology, funded by the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. These studies include: 1) EpiModel 2.0, an NIH-funded study to support the development of the EpiModel software platform that specializes in modeling infectious disease dynamics across explicitly represented temporal contact networks; 2) CorporateMix, a CDC-funded study of social mixing patterns in corporate office settings to support the development of epidemic models of disease transmission; 3) GlobalMix, an NIH-funded study of social mixing data from urban and rural populations in four low/middle income countries to support the development of epidemic models of disease transmission; 4) SWANSS, a Gates Foundation funded study to guide public health interventions within correctional (jail and prison) settings; 5) an NIH-funded project to model the impact new TB vaccines to inform plans for introduction in low- and middle-income countries.
