Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in computer science specializing in cybersecurity
Your task as a postdoc will be to conduct world-class research in cybersecurity as part of a large European project called CyberSecDome with 15 different partner organisations. The overall project aims to combine AI technologies to provide a better prediction of cybersecurity threats and related risks and an efficient and dynamic selection of incident response against cyber security attacks that may target the digital infrastructure. CyberSecDome will use VR professionally to provide situational awareness of detected incidents, ongoing risks, and selected responses in real time. Finally, CyberSecDome aims to optimise the collaborative response among the stakeholders within the digital infrastructure ecosystem by developing privacy-aware information and knowledge-sharing mechanisms. Linköping University participates in this project and our research will focus on mechanisms for automated penetration testing and intrusion detection. As a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University, you are expected to be able to define relevant research problems connected to the project topics, to plan and execute the necessary research activities and to publish the results in high-quality venues. You will also participate in the project activities and contribute to its success. Your work may also include teaching or other departmental duties such as contributing to a new cybersecurity lab environment. This part of the position will take up to a maximum of 20% of full-time.
Deadline : 2023-08-11.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in the field of Plasma & Coating Physics
Synthesis of complex nanoparticles are an important base for the development of new materials for a wide range of applications that are of great importance for societal development. One such application is the field of energy generation, transfer, and storage that will be greatly facilitated by new smart designed catalytically active materials. Gas-phase synthesis of nanoparticles has shown to be a very versatile method of producing complex nanoparticles. Alloy, core/shell, and core/satellite nanoparticles can be synthesized and assembled into new nano-micro-structured materials. To in detail study the synthesis of these nanostructures, this project will adopt in situ analysis techniques based on brilliant X-ray sources, such as from the synchrotron facility PETRA III in Hamburg. A specially designed synthesis chamber will be built, allowing the use of small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), anomalous SAXS (ASAXS), and X-ray fluorescence (XRF), for in situ time-resolved structural, chemical, and spatial analyses of complex nanoparticles during synthesis. You will work in a team of material scientists and physicists to take part in the experimental design, implementation and in performing experiments of novel complex nanoparticle synthesis using high-power pulsed hollow cathode sputtering. The experiment will involve both in situ analysis of the synthesis process and ex situ and in situ analysis of the synthesized nanoparticles. The responsibility of the postdoc will mainly be focused on the in situ analyses using a synchrotron based brilliant X-ray source, but will also be involved in ex situ analysis of the formed nanostructures using, for example, electron microscopy. As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.
Deadline : 21 August 2023.
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Soft Peripheral Nerve Interfaces
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours. Soft Electronics group is currently developing an ultra-soft neural interface technology. The postdoc will collaborate with material and fabrication specialists within the group to develop, evaluate and explore soft neural interfaces for the peripheral nervous system. The postdoc will lead the small animal work by designing experiments, adapting the electrodes for implantation, develop implantation and fixation procedures, perform implantations, and analyze electrophysiology recordings. The work will be performed in collaboration with Prof. Simon Farnebo at the Linköping University Hospital. The work is part of an ERC CoG project and will be highly collaborative. As a postdoc you are expected to assist in the leadership of the scientific work within your area and to guide students. Responsibilities can increase in relation to demonstrated abilities. The host has an excellent track record (>65% success rate) in acquiring Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships and the hired candidate is encouraged to develop an application supported by the host.
Deadline : August 31, 2023.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Stretchable Composites for Soft Neural Interfaces
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours. The postdoc will develop novel ultra-soft and stretchable composites for neural interface applications. This constitutes a major challenge, as the materials should combine high electrical performance with tissue-like softness and long-term chemical stability and biocompatibility. The work includes the full chain from nanomaterial synthesis and functionalization to composite formulation and characterization. Applications of the developed materials will be explored in collaboration with external partners.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdok in Technology and Social Change
The postdoc research will deal with questions related to the transition of Swedish cities towards climate-neutrality. The position will be part of the research project “Beyond pilots: Accelerating energy system change for climate neutral cities” which investigates how demonstrations of system change in cities are designed and conceptualized, how their transformative potential can be assessed, and how they can cross-fertilize each other. Moreover, the postdoc will contribute to the Swedish strategic innovation programme “Viable Cities”. A key challenge here will be to study how to map and monitor processes of transformative socio-technical change towards sustainability, and how to make them legible and governable. Research in the project comprises conducting interviews, collecting documents and texts and qualitative analysis of these sources. Work requires close collaboration with project partners and municipalities and shall result in the publication of articles in international journals.
