Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in the research group of Dr Danny Incarnato (http://www.incarnatolab.com), Molecular Genetics (http://www.molgenrug.nl), GBB (http://www.rug.nl/gbb). The successful applicant will work on a project aimed at identifying functionally-relevant RNA structure elements playing a role in the post-transcriptional control of disease-relevant genes. The results will assist the characterization of therapeutically-relevant RNA targets for the development of small molecule drugs.

The Computational Mathematics group of the University of Groningen has one post-doc position on imaged-based numerical modeling of the cardiovascular system. The position is embedded in the project “CardioZoom: High-Fidelity Cardiovascular Modeling from super-fast Magnetic Resonance Imaging”, a 1.5M Euro, 5-year ERC-Starting Grant awarded to Prof. Cristóbal Bertoglio by the European Research Council Therefore, the post-doc will join a vibrant and collaborative research group, with access to a wide (inter-)national and multidisciplinary scientific network.

(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-doc Electrocatalysis in alkaline cells for green hydrogen production (222358)

In the Chemical Engineering group of ENTEG at the University of Groningen, we are looking for a talented and motivated postodoctoral researcher on alkaline water electrolysis. The position is part of the WaviatER, which is a consortium between University of Groningen, DEMCON and several other industrial partners. This project is partially funded by Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN) and the European Union, aiming to the development of a highly efficient and stable mid-scale alkaline electrolyser to be demonstrated at the Eelde Airport, Groningen. The WaviatER project is expected to play a crucial role for the transformation of the Northern Netherlands to a key region for green hydrogen production. In this context, the postdoc will work at the University of Groningen but in close collaboration with DEMCON, focusing on electrocatalytic materials development, cell validation and characterization as well as evaluation of possible degradation phenomena.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-doctoral researcher Ghosts of the past (1.0 FTE) (222366)

The postdoctoral researcher should ideally focus on gene-environment interplay or multi-generational processes in development. For instance, the postdoctoral researcher could explore 1) genetic transmission as explanatory pathway for intergenerational transmission of aspects of social development or 2) genetic and environmental origins of individual differences in parenting. In general, the position holder has the freedom to develop their own interest within the framework of the larger project. Data are available from the TRAILS and TRAILS NEXT studies and close collaborations exist with the Australian Temperament Project and other groups who work with multiple-generation and genetically-informed cohorts. In this position, the main tasks will be data analyses and writing up of results for publication.
