Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc – Machine learning / Artificial Intelligence and big data science in the field of synchrotron research

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher – Plant Systems Biology
- University degree (Master) and doctorate in bioinformatics, computer science, data science or life science related fields with proven track record in data analysis/bioinformatics
- Knowledge in programming languages (e.g. Java, Rust, C/C++) and statistical analysis using R/BioConductor/python
- Experience with the analysis and integration (data fusion) of high throughput data such as NGS, metabolite profiling and/or plant phenotyping data
- Knowledge in the application of AI for data analysis and interpretation is advantageous
- Experience with plant omics data is a plus
- Experience with acquisition and administration of third-party funds is considered a plus
- Proven scientific communication skills in the form of scientific publications or equivalent
- Willingness to complement and collaborate with existing research units at the research center
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken are a requirement due to the international nature of the institute and collaborations

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc – Molecular and bioinformatic-based identification of optimized enzymes for biotechnological applications
- University degree (Master) and doctorate in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, biophysics, or life science-related fields with a proven track record in bioinformatics, biophysics, data analysis, and simulation sciences
- Very good practical experience in molecular biology, Next Generation Sequencing, and structural biology
- Extensive experience in analyzing large datasets (especially genomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, enzyme data, and structural data)
- Experience with the application of machine learning methods for data analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge in programming languages (e.g. Java, Rust, C/C++, Python) and statistical analysis using R/BioConductor/python

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc or researcher – Foundation model for climate
- Excellent masters degree and subsequent Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics Engineering or in a similar field. Alternatively an excellent masters degree with professional experience
- Very good knowledge and proven skills with larger deep learning networks and unsupervised training (your experience should be documented in research papers and Open Source code projects)
- Proficiency in software development including the use of version control systems
- Practical experience with High Performance Computing Systems or large-scale cluster computers and parallel programming
- Interest in scientific topics, especially related to weather and climate
- Self-motivated personality, curiosity of working in a multi-disciplinary team environment on scientifically challenging problems
- Very good command of written and spoken English

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc – Digital Transformation for Renewable Energy Systems
- Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field with a focus on renewable energy systems, data analytics, or artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated experience in programming, particularly in Python, Django, or similar frameworks, with a robust understanding of data extraction and machine learning models.
- Advanced programming skills and substantial experience in software development related to digital services.
- Exceptional collaborative and communication skills, fluent in English, and capable of effective teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Additional knowledge or interest in cloud computing solutions (private/on-premise/public) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies will be considered an asset.
