The appointee will be employed within the ALIVE National Centre for Mental Health Research Translation, Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Melbourne Medical School as an Indigenous Knowledge /Citizen Science Specialist to oversee establishment of the Bigaagarri Platform.

The work will include theoretical applications, tested using on-ground case studies for different ecosystem types, sectors and industries, partners and levels of information. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Fellow with experience in implementation science. In this role, you will significantly contribute to two externally funded implementation trials focused on liver fibrosis and lung cancer screening in primary care settings. You will work as part of a collaborative team, engaging with healthcare providers and conducting research to understand the determinants of implementation and contextual factors influencing uptake. This unique position allows you to be at the forefront of Australia’s first targeted national screening program in lung cancer and build the evidence base for a potential targeted liver screening program.
