(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Position in RNA Therapeutics, Proteomics and Lipidomics
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled person with a strong background in mass spectrometry-based proteomics (especially targeted quantitative analysis), lipidomics or metabolomics. It is preferred that the applicant has experience in high-resolution mass spectrometry, data management and bioinformatics/computational data analysis as well as handling samples from rodents and humans. Effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, ability to work both independently and in a collaborative group environment, are required. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Position in Soft Robotic Locomotion Control and Learning
Snakes navigate with ease through narrow passages by moving in straight lines rather than waving their spine. This project is focused on the design, fabrication, proprioceptive feedback control, and neural learning of a soft robotic crawler to mimic the snake’s rectilinear gait. Inspired by this unique locomotion skill, you will contribute to the development of an autonomous soft crawling robot that can learn to move efficiently through complex terrains. This project requires system-level development of hardware and software to integrate actuation, sensing, power supply, and computation in a unified soft robotic system. The position is funded by the VILLUM Foundation Young Investigator Programme.

The position is available as part of a Carlsbergfondet Young Researcher Fellowship on signal-jamming approaches to counteract environmental sensing two-component systems in bacteria. The project will focus on chemical-genetic screening of compound libraries for small molecules which interfere with signalling through the two-component system ChvIG in Caulobacter crescentus and eventually in other alpha-proteobacteria.

The task portfolio of the Research Assistant will be linked to one main project and several smaller projects within CIE. (06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: REANNOUNCEMENT – Postdoc Position in Immunoinformatics, Machine Learning and Proteomics
The selected candidate will develop a proof of concept framework for detecting disease-specific antibodies in proteomics datasets. More specifically, the research project entails the analysis of millions of B-cell receptor sequences by machine learning to determine relevant antibody peptides for detection in proteomics datasets. These peptides will be confirmed by re-searching public and in-house proteomics data using modern identification algorithms.

We invite motivated candidates with interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning to apply. We will specifically look for candidates with documented track-record in conducting relevant technical research in the area of condition monitoring and fault detection of industrial processes. A successful candidate will have expertise in time series analysis, pattern recognition and signal processing. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or physics. This will enable the successful candidate to contribute to the development of a strong AI research environment at both SDU and SGRE.

(09) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in control engineering
The Department of Mechanical and Electrical engineering covers research and education spanning from fundamentals to applications of engineering science. All our courses are taught in English reflecting the fact that more than half our students and staff are internationals. The Centre for Industrial Mechanics is located at SDU’s beautiful campus in Sønderborg, in the inspiring building of Alsion, which is a center for science, culture and learning in the heart of Sønderborg and perched on the strait of water separating the island of Als from the mainland. The university has very close relations to the industry in Sønderborg, Southern Denmark and Northern Germany.
