(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Associate (Limited Term)
The Mental Health and Physical Activity Research Centre (MPARC) in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, University of Toronto invites applications for the position of Research Associate with post-degree academic and research expertise in the public health and sport field to lead a multi-year project, focused on improving quality sport experiences for youth, with a focus on understanding identity factors and a specific highlight on girls. The project team involves 66 researchers and community sport organizations with ample capacity for on-going growth. The successful candidate will contribute to the project by way of their academic expertise and will be expected to integrate into MPARC, collaborate on research, build knowledge mobilization strategies for community youth sport initiatives. Partnering with youth, coaches, parents, and sport leaders is an essential part of this role, as is liaising with industry leaders. This position requires an extensive understanding of the Canadian sport landscape, including how the Canadian sport system works from the National Sports Organizations, the Provincial Sports Organizations, and the community club system; knowledge of the National sport governing bodies (e.g., Own the Podium, the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network) is essential.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Associate – Limited Term, Part Time (One Year Term)
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Associate in Photonics in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, at the University of Toronto. This is a part-time (25% FTE) position for a research associate to work with Prof. Joyce Poon and her research group to conduct research in silicon integrated photonics.
The successful candidate will have a successful record in working in the field of foundry silicon photonics (e.g., simulation and design, layout, characterization). The candidate will be responsible for (1) managing projects with photonics foundries, (2) overseeing custom wafer runs, (3) managing projects with sponsors, and (4) providing support and assistance to other research group members.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Associate (Limited Term)
Computational virology is undergoing a renaissance. We’re looking to support passionate, self-motivated scientists with a clear vision to take on high risk research ideas and move the field forward. Applicants should have a very strong background in virology, molecular genetics, immunology, ecology, pathophysiology and/or microbiology. Basic competencies in statistics and/or computational analysis is required. but We are extending the Serratus platform to incorporate multi-faceted data-integration using biological, ecological, and experimental determinants to better inform virus biology as well as human and animal disease. The Research Associate is expected to independently carry leading, designing and implementing a biological framework using large-scale computational data to interpret and predict the aforementioned factors.

The Research Associate will be responsible for the coordination of the research project, which involves researchers from several departments at the University of Toronto and from several institutions in Canada and Brazil. The Research Associate will be responsible for: organizing regular meetings, preparing progress reports, supporting the organization of workshops and conferences, and assisting with the preparation of publications. This position will also ensure regular and timely consultation with the advisory board and the supporting disability organizations. Contributing, with the principal investigators, to the supervision of research assistants. In addition, there will be involvement in some of the qualitative and quantitative components of the research.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Senior Research Associate
The Senior Research Associate (SRA) will lead ongoing and new research projects, focusing on the effects of foods and food ingredients on human health (e.g. postprandial glycemia, satiety and food intake regulation) and examining food consumption trends in Canada and their relationship with diet quality. The SRA will also be responsible for providing scientific leadership to the NSERC Program in Food Safety, Nutrition & Regulatory Affairs. This will include continued engagement with academic, government and private sector scientists and leadership of new research studies and workshops focused on issues affecting the Canadian food supply.
