(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc position on Environmental Noise Effects/ Psychoacoustics
The position is embedded in the interdisciplinary research project RESTORE (Restorative potential of green spaces in noise-polluted environments, see www.restore-project.ch) and is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. In this position you will design and conduct psychophysical laboratory experiments on noise, stress, and recovery. You will use a virtual reality (VR) environment which has been specifically developed for that purpose to measure perceived and physiological stress. The diversified work contains experiments and data analysis and requires close collaboration with the RESTORE research team.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Position on Inorganic Synthesis of Hydroborate Electrolytes for Solid-State Batteries
The research project focuses on the solvothermal synthesis of hydroborate-based solid electrolytes for the application in solid-state batteries. Your task is to investigate the reaction pathways and to scale up the synthesis. You will design, conduct and analyze scientific experiments in an international and interdisciplinary environment in collaboration with an industrial partner. In addition, you will be involved in scientific reporting. Generation of intellectual property in the form of patents is encouraged.

Together with our team of experienced scientists and industry partners, you will develop the next generation of sustainable cellulose-based food packaging materials. This project bridges our activities in the fields of cellulose-based materials and composites, nanocellulose production techniques, and practical application testing. Combining fundamental and applied science, the goal is to develop functional and practical food-packaging solutions, which may be implemented as commercial products. We envision that along with the potential development of a commercial product, the generated knowledge will lead to new sustainable materials with applications throughout the speciality coatings and packaging sectors.
