(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow- Climate Science
We invite applications for two Postdoctoral Research Fellows to work as part of the joint University of Queensland and Queensland Government (Climate Projections and Services, Department of Environment and Science) science program. The Queensland Future Climate Science Program undertakes research involving climate modelling, climate data processing and analysis, and translation of technical climate knowledge into relevant climate services for Queensland. The team delivers climate change projections information through the Queensland Future Climate website and resources such as the dashboard and the translation and communication of this information for climate risk assessment and adaptation in Queensland. The ongoing agenda is focusing on the delivery of high-resolution climate projections (10km) dynamically downscaled from CMIP6 global models at over Australia for three emissions scenarios including updating our climate services applications and delivery of the largest set of regional model projections to CMIP6 CORDEX Australasian archive.

The team at UQ will be focusing on testing fundamental physics with gravitational waves, potentially including (but not limited to) cosmological applications and gravitational wave theory. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Fellow – Human Exposome
An exciting opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Fellow to join the world-class research team of Academics and PhD cohort at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences Centre (QAEHS) within our Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences. Supported by a Laureate Fellowship awarded to Prof Jochen Mueller, this opportunity will support development of world leading research related to understanding the human exposome (sum of human exposures to chemicals). The Laureate project aims to develop effective tools to understand spatio-temporal trends and factors that drive chemical exposure to identify emerging chemicals of concern. The project will assess factors that affect exposure and model exposure based on chemical production, use and fate. Outcomes will support evidence-based regulation and management of chemicals to minimise adverse impacts of chemical exposure in Australia.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Health Services)
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented post-doctoral researcher to join our NHMRC funded SAFER Hospitals research program evaluating the safety, quality and outcomes of hospital care using nationally linked hospitalisation data. The ideal candidate would have a doctoral degree (or equivalent mix of qualifications and research experience) in health services, epidemiology, statistics or health services research with a strong analytical skill and a track record of research output. In this newly created position, the Research Fellow will be responsible for independently developing and leading research in collaboration with the investigator team. Specifically, they will investigate hospital-based care for common disorders and evaluate outcomes of that care including treatment safety, effectiveness, costs, and variation in practice. In addition, the research fellow will collaboratively assist in producing publications, communications, and reports. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a track record in leading research in a collaborative environment will be required.
