Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doc Research Assistant
The goal of this project is to lower the energy barrier to active 〈c+a〉 dislocations in Mg alloys, such that the density of these hard dislocations during plastic deformation can be significantly increased and their ductility can be dramatically enhanced. To achieve this goal, the postdoc research assistant will perform density functional theory and high-throughput-screening modeling to search for low-cost alloying elements which are able to lower the energy barrier to dislocation nucleation and glide.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doc Research Assistant
This research project aims at elucidating deformation, and failure mechanisms of CdTe semiconductor under both ground state and photon excitation conditions. the postdoc research assistant will employ an integrated approach combining multiscale simulation techniques, from electronic (density functional theory, i.e., DFT, and constrained DFT) to atomistic simulations (inter-atomic potential or force field), to fill in the knowledge gap concerning photomechanical mechanisms in CdTe and doped materials.

The primary responsibilities of this position include developing and applying mathematical models that are relevant to the field of pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology to aid in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics predictions in multiple species. The focus of the applicant’s research will pertain to the analysis of clinical data obtained from the spontaneous animal models of human diseases with a special focus on oncology, internal medicine (e.g. IBD research), cardiology and infectious diseases. The ultimate goal of this research falls under the scope of the One Health initiative and consists of bridging the knowledge gap between experimental models and human patients, using information from spontaneous animal diseases.
