You will be a key member of the Osmani Lab at DERI, contributing to our development and the success of our mission, and we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic at the idea of contributing to the building of Professor Osmani’s lab at Queen Mary.
Research will focus on identifying and publishing results in methods to build foundation models, using multimodal and multiscale health data.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the research group of Dr Versace at Queen Mary University of London (Department of Psychology), working in the areas of computational and behavioural neuroscience with modelling and domestic chicks’ data. This position is funded by a Leverhulme Trust project entitled “Generalisation from limited experience: how to solve the problem of induction”.
How biological and artificial agents can use limited evidence to effectively learn and generalise is a long standing issue for psychology, AI/computational sciences, neuroscience and philosophy, that requires empirical investigation and modelling to be solved. In this project, we leverage evidence from precocial animals and modelling to address this issue using an interdisciplinary approach.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate In Cancer Risk Prediction
We are seeking a researcher for a new programme focused on improving understanding of cancer risk and developing novel multicancer risk prediction models to support cancer prevention and early detection interventions. This role is part of the Cancer Research UK funded CD3 programme, a new multidisciplinary and multi-institutional strategic national research initiative dedicated to using data to revolutionise our understanding of cancer risk and enable early interception of cancers (Queen Mary media & Cancer Research UK News). You will use large primary care and other diverse healthcare datasets to identify novel cancer risk factors, develop prediction models to provide individualised cancer risk using cutting edge methods, and examine the impact of exemplar interventions on risk reduction. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary internationally renowned team from within QMUL and the wider CD3 community which has expertise in health data science, risk prediction, statistics, AI and clinical practice.
