Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in experimental evolutionary biology
A postdoctoral fellowship in evolutionary biology is available in the laboratory of Andreas Wagner at the University of Zurich. Lab members are a group with very diverse backgrounds and research projects, unified by their interests in evolution and life’s fundamental organizational principles. Recent experimental work in the lab ranges from the directed evolution of proteins to the experimental evolution of microbes (e.g., Zheng et al., Science 2020; Toll-Riera et al, Science Advances 2022). Ongoing projects characterize the adaptive landscapes of biomolecules such as enzymes and transcriptional regulators.
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc Position in Motivation and Adult Development
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area of motivation and adult development to join the Life-Management Lab (headed by Alexandra M. Freund), in the Department of Psychology at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). Research in the lab primarily involves the investigation of the development of motivational processes in adulthood using a multi-method approach spanning experimental, behavioral, physiological, and self-report methods (click here for more information on our research).
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:Postdoc Position in Ultrafast Vibrational Spectroscopy of CO2 Reduction
In the context of a newly approved research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation, a postdoc position is available at the Research Group of Prof. Peter Hamm at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich, Switzerland. The project plans to elucidate the reaction cycles of molecular and solid-state CO2 reduction systems by time-resolved IR and 2D IR spectroscopy. The overall project plans to combine electrochemical techniques with femtosecond laser spectroscopy, two research fields that traditionally have little overlap. The project is a follow up of our work in photocatalytic water splitting, and representative publications are (albeit not yet on CO2 reduction):
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Associate
The research group headed by Prof. Alessandro Sartori at the University of Zurich is seeking a highly motivated PostDoc to study the role of DNA repair in CAG repeat expansion, the underlying cause of Huntington’s disease (HD).
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral researcher
The research focus of the chair is on social-cognitive development in infancy and childhood. The project focuses on multilingual language development in early childhood. Previous research shows that monolingual and multilingual children differ in the repertoire and flexibility of their communicative behavior. In the planned research project, the characteristics of these differences in early childhood (0 – 6 years) as well as the underlying mechanisms will be investigated in more detail. For this purpose, behavioral methods but also eye tracking or electroencephalography (EEG) can be applied.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in computational psychiatry
Our lab is interested in novel ways of phenotyping psychotic disorders, such as quantitative analysis of speech and language with large language models and natural language processing. In the context of a multinational EU Horizon project (TRUSTING) we will apply quantitative language analysis to predict relapse in psychotic disorders in a clinical trial. We will design and implement multimodal paradigms (e.g. combined fMRI and speech production) and use methods such as machine learning, multilevel analyses and computational modeling to decompose behavioral performance into interpretable aspects of cognitive and perceptual processing.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Position in Stem Cell Biology and Tumorigenesis
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct her/his research in the laboratory of Prof. Lukas Sommer at the Institute of Anatomy, University of Zurich. The group is part of the SKINTEGRITY.CH consortium and is engaged in several interdisciplinary projects in the fields of stem cells in development, regeneration, and tumorigenesis.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Nursing Science
The Implementation Science in Nursing group is a growing research team at the Medical Faculty’s Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care and the University Hospital Zurich’s Center of Clinical Nursing Science. Our research focuses on family health interventions and innovative, nurse-led models of care, primarily in acute-critical illness, end-of-life, and bereavement. We have a dual focus on clinical and implementation research in nursing and health care delivery.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in theoretical chemistry
A postdoc position is available in the Luber group at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). Our group focuses on forefront computational methods at the interface of chemistry, biology, physics, and materials science. For more information, see our group’s website.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Position in Molecular/Chemical Biology featuring Photochemistry and Drug Delivery
Dr. Peter Štacko’s group at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join our research group. Our interdisciplinary research combines organic chemistry, photochemistry and biology, and strives to expand the boundaries of applied photochemistry. We re-engineer existing organic dyes into photocages that release and activate organic molecules when triggered with tissue-penetrating NIR light, and transform them into precisionguided nanotherapeutic systems. Our ultimate goal is to push the frontiers of medicine and enable next-generation, personalized therapy by unlocking novel therapeutic avenues, or by enhancing those that already exist. Visit our group’s website for more information.
