PhD position summary/title: Interessetilkendegivelse vedr. ph.d.-projekt tilknyttet Movement Culture and Society, IOB.

(03) PhD Degree – Fully Funded

PhD position summary/title: Ph.D.-stipendium i medievidenskab – “ToSleep: Decelerative media and technologies of sleep in the everyday”

Ph.d.-stipendiaten vil indgå i forskningsprojektet ”ToSleep: Decelerative media and technologies of sleep in the everyday”, der er finansieret af Carlsbergfondet, Semper Ardens Accelerate (Grant id: CF24-1525).

PhD position summary/title: REANNOUNCEMENT: PhD positions in Innovation Management

The Ex-Man project seeks to understand the exnovation process in manufacturing firms. Exnovation is the process of how old technologies, artefacts, or practices in an organization get removed to make space for the introduction of new technologies and innovations. The project will provide novel insights on how to manage and strategically conduct exnovation and to understand the underlying mechanisms, barriers, and facilitators of phasing out old innovations and its influence on firm performance and innovativeness. The project will collect and utilize qualitative case studies and quantitative survey data from the manufacturing sector in Denmark, Germany, and Slovenia. Theoretically, the project draws on innovation management, economics of innovation, technology management, organizational learning, and strategy.

PhD position summary/title: PhD Position in Responsible AI

AI has revolutionized industries, but what happens when AI learns something it shouldn’t, be it biased, outdated, or sensitive data? That’s where the project TRAI comes in. This research project aims to develop machine unlearning algorithms to selectively erase specific knowledge from trained AI models without affecting overall performance. These algorithms will tackle critical challenges like ensuring compliance with GDPR’s “right to be forgotten,” removing biases for fairer decision-making and eliminating outdated or copyrighted information for dynamic and ethical AI.

At the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), the successful candidate will join the Applied AI & Data Science (AID) unit at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute. AID collaborates with leading universities and industry partners across Denmark, Europe, and the United States, driving innovation in artificial intelligence, statistical machine learning, and data science. By developing cutting-edge, data-driven solutions across diverse domains, AID plays a key role in shaping the future of AI.As part of this dynamic environment, the PhD candidate will work closely with other PhD students and postdoctoral researchers specializing in AI.
