Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC – viral transcription-translation coupling
A postdoc position is available in newly established Demo lab (CEITEC, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic) to participate in research focused on structural mechanisms of transcription-translation coupling in virus-infected mammalian cells. We are seeking a person with expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry and virology, specifically in the field of dsDNA viruses and virus-infected mammalian cells (to produce the viruses) and with some expertise in single-particle electron microscopy and cryo-electron tomography. (03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Regulation of Gene Expression and Molecular Carcinogenesis Group
A post-doctoral position is open in the Dr. Dalibor Blažek. Our research team is dedicated to understanding the roles of CDK12, CDK11, and other transcriptional kinases in the regulation of gene expression and their targeting in human diseases, particularly cancer. Our laboratory at CEITEC is international and has numerous collaborations including top bioinformaticians, medicinal chemists, and an innovative biotech company. The post-holder will integrate biochemistry and molecular biochemistry approaches, particularly genomics and proteomics together with bioinformatics analyses to address basic biological questions. We are particularly interested in an individual with strong expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry and expertise/interest in genome-wide bioinformatics analyses.

(12) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Academic Researcher II in the field of Thin-film optics, Optics of solid surfaces, Dispersion models of condensed materials
The researcher will work within the group of optics of thin layers and solid surfaces, which is part of the CEPLANT center at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. Researchers in this group deal with the optical properties of systems of thin films and solid surfaces together with the optical characterization of these systems. These are, for example, layers prepared by plasmachemical methods, by means of magnetron sputtering or by means of vacuum evaporation. As part of their activities, researchers deal with the formulation of new dispersion and structural models, which are then used in optical characterization. Structural models include defects such as random interface roughness, layer inhomogeneity, thickness non-uniformity, transition interlayers, and more. The optical laboratory of this group is equipped with spectrophotometers and ellipsometers covering a wide spectral region from the far infrared region to the vacuum ultraviolet region.

The researcher will work within the research group Plasma Nanotechnology and Bioapplications (PNB; https://plasma.sci.muni.cz/en), which is part of ÚFE. The main activities of the group are the development of plasma sources operating at atmospheric pressure, their optimization, diagnostics of generated plasma, innovation and customization for surface treatment of materials such as nonwovens, nanofibers prepared by electrospinning, rigid and flexible polymers, wood, metals, semiconductors, glass, etc. used in a wide range of industries. Recently, PNB began research into the plasma modification of highly porous materials and aerogel oxide (GO) nanocomposites. The group also operates in the field of plasma agriculture and plasma biodecontamination.
