(08) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in GHG emission and mitigation of the environmental and climate impact of agriculture

Agricultural waste such as liquid animal manure (slurry) is a major atmospheric source of greenhouse gases, ammonia, VOCs, odorants, and other air pollutants that contribute significantly to the environmental and climate impact of agriculture. At the same time, it is a valuable fertilizer source that may require long-term storage before field application with possible pre-storage treatment by anaerobic digestion to substitute fossil energy.

The postdoc candidate will be part of a research team where focus is on measuring and validating technologies that mitigate emissions and develop new methods to quantify emission from slurry stored in livestock buildings or outdoor storages. The project is closely related to the development of process models that can be used to estimate farm-scale greenhouse gas emission and so modelling may be part of the work.

(14) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: A 3-year Postdoc position in Autobiographical Memory and Morality, Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences

Everyday life is filled with concerns and norms for morality, such as concerns for the welfare of others, fairness, and honesty. Yet, the role of morality has been scarcely addressed in research on autobiographical memory—that is, memory for the personal past. The aim of this project is to establish a new foundation for the study of autobiographical memory rooted in the hypothesis of a fundamental interplay between morality and memory. The Postdoc will work on this project in collaboration with, and supervised by, professor Dorthe Berntsen as well as other members of our national and international team.

The applicant should have a PhD in psychology or closely related fields. The applicant must have a genuine interest in developing and conducting research projects addressing the interplay between autobiographical memory and morality. The applicant must also have concrete knowledge of, and experience with, research on autobiographical memory. In addition, we expect the applicant to have experience with conducting online studies using crowdsourcing platforms, psychometric tests, coding of verbal data, and to be a competent user of statistics programs, such as SPSS.

(15) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in data-driven biomarker discovery

Several minipig models such as the Göttingen minipig and genetically modified minipigs with humanized immune system have been used for drug safety assessment. However, knowledge on the applicability and translatability of these minipig models for new drug modalities are still limited, as minipigs are not often considered when choosing large animal models to perform pharmacology and toxicology studies. To refine the applicability and translatability of minipigs in pre-clinical safety studies of new drug modalities, this project will perform multiple-omics analysis of minipig tissues and organs from normal minipigs, genetically modified minipigs of type 1 diabetes, minipigs used in non-clinical safety studies. All these multi-omics data (including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) will be used to develop data-driven models for assessment and prediction of biomarkers for treatment effects and diseases in minipigs.
