(04) Postdoctoral Position
Postdoctoral position summary/title: We have previously demonstrated that temporal integration of synaptic inputs plays a major role in the olfactory decision-making circuit of the fruit fly. The transcription factor FoxP regulates the efficacy of this circuit by controlling the level of Shal (Kv4) channels in the dendrites of group of neurons called the αβ core Kenyon cells. We now want to explore whether FoxP/ Shal plays a similar role in spatial navigation. We will use electrophysiology in virtual-reality arenas, 2-photon imaging and transcriptomics to address this question. The post holder will be part of an existing team of one postdoc and two PhD students.
Deadline of Postdoc Position: 13th April 2021
