Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoc in CFD Analyses of Waves and Current Interactions with Porous Structures – DTU Construct

This position is a part of the research project INF4INITY that investigates floating wind turbine with Nature Inspired design of scour protection and motion damping system for the floating system and located in the coastal group of the section for Fluid Mechanics, Coastal and Maritime Engineering. The objectives are to develop and use new methods for analysing performance of porous structural parts in marine structures. The Postdoc includes both development and use of the OpenFOAM library for Computational Fluid Dynamics analyses.

We offer an opportunity to join the faculty at one of the world’s leading university departments in resource and environmental engineering. At DTU Sustain you work at the forefront of science providing solutions to major societal challenges related to climate change, circularity, sustainability, and environmental quality.

DTU Sustain has been very productive and successful during the last decades within waste management, resource engineering and circularity. Currently 7 faculty members focus on these topics, and fortunately we are now able to add one more senior researcher within this area. The position is defined below, and candidates should be able to collaborate with the existing faculty members, but also add new expertise and dedication to the group.

Your overall focus will be to strengthen DTU Sustain’s competences within the areas of waste management, resource engineering and circularity, and especially be a key resource in the group’s contract with scientific advice to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Current topics in the group are emission monitoring, landfill biocovers, organic waste management, textile and plastic waste, carbon capture and LCA modelling. Your expertise can contribute to further development of these topics but potentially also add new relevant topics.

You will be working at DTU Electro, in the Photonic Integrated Circuit based Systems (PICSys) group. The setting will be the cutting-edge laboratory for photonic integrated devices, and the access to one of the largest cleanroom facilities in European Universities. You will be working with a group of professionals in photonic integrated devices, optical phased array, optical communications, optical computing, electronic circuits design and FPGA programming. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoc to join our team and contribute to our efforts in developing integrated optical phased array (OPA) for biomedical imaging. You will be working on an innovative project aimed at developing integrated optical phased array-based multi-photon lightsheet fluorescence microscopy, which has the promising potential to revolutionize current biological studies and diagnostic methodology. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in photonic integrated circuits (PIC) research, collaborate with DTU Health Tech and Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Copenhagen University, and drive the development of next-generation biomedical imaging solutions. 

This Postdoc position is funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation. As a participant of the project, you will become part of a team at DTU with expertise in design, simulation, nanofabrication, characterization, and application of PIC. DTU Physics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoc to join our cutting-edge research team in Photonic Integrated Quantum Computing. This position is part of the EPIQUE consortium, a collaborative initiative bringing together world experts in integrated quantum light sources, photonic chips, and photon detectors, along with leaders in photonic quantum algorithms and architectures. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of scalable quantum processors based on measurement-induced processing of cluster states. 

In our pursuit to create a scalable quantum computer based on measurement-induced processing of cluster states, we are developing quantum processors utilizing temporal and spatial multiplexing of squeezed states on highly promising photonic integrated circuit platforms. This approach combines low-loss fiber optical delay lines and high-efficiency detection to construct a measurement-based quantum computing machine capable of performing both non-universal quantum sampling algorithms and fully universal algorithms.

SYNERGIES and ODEON are both an international research project, with up to 34 industrial and academic partners from over 13 European countries. Both projects aim to introduce Energy Data Spaces to unleash the data-driven innovation and sharing potential across diverse energy actors (e.g. consumers, prosumers, utilities, and others). SYNERGIES objective is to introduce a Reference Energy Data Space Implementation while ODEON’s objective is to introduce an open-source platform for federated Energy Data Spaces with the goal to interconnect Energy Data Spaces across Europe. SYNERGIES will be extensively validated in 3 demo sites, in Spain, Greece, and Denmark.
