We are seeking postdoctoral scientists to work on building the next generation of quantum processors based on superconducting circuits. To achieve this ambitiuous goal we have a variety of projects related to:

  • Simulation, design and characterization of quantum processors
  • Development and optimization of nano-fabrication processes for large-scale devices
  • Development of optimal control techniches to achieve fast and high-fidelity qubits operations
  • Design and implementantion of automatic calibration techniques for fast tune-up

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position for Generative models for molecular dynamics

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoc to join our group in developing generative surrogate models for molecular dynamics (MD). MD is a foundational technology across the sciences and engineering, with translational applications in areas such as drug discovery and materials design.

One of our group’s goals is to create efficient surrogate models that reduce the computational cost of MD simulations by several orders of magnitude. Notable examples of our work in this area include Boltzmann Generators [1,2], Surrogate-model Assisted Molecular Dynamics [3], and Implicit Transfer Operators [4,5]. 

The Postdoc will lead both the conceptual development in close collaboration with the project’s Principal Investigator, and practical implementation of this research with the AIMLeNS team. The role also offers ample opportunities to mentor PhD students, supervise MSc projects, and engage with a vibrant network of national and international collaborators.

The recruited candidate will work in the AIMLeNS lab lead by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Simon Olsson at Chalmers University of Technology, and will enjoy access to local and national supercomputing facilities such as BerzeLiUs and Alvis.

The High-Energy part of the Theoretical Subatomic Physics group performs research into elementary particle physics from model building and Dark Matter to formal Quantum Field Theory. Organizationally we are part of the division of Subatomic, High-Energy and Plasma Physics within the Department of Physics. We have a strong international standing within all of our research areas and benefit from many collaborations world wide. We strive to provide a stimulating, friendly, inclusive, and collaborative research environment with the highest scientific standards. The focus of the current position is in the areas identified by both arXiv categories hep-ph and hep-th.

The postdoctoral project will focus on aspects of particle physics related to the hierarchy problem with emphasis, but not necessarily limited to, composite Higgs models and their relation to the flavor puzzle. Research activities will range from quantum field theory aspects to more phenomenological applications.

The postdoctoral position is funded by the Swedish Research Council which has financed the project “Flavor from beyond the electroweak scale” led by Dr. Gabriele Ferretti. There is a large international community of collaborators that will take part in several of these activities. Funds are allocated for the purpose of traveling to conferences, schools, and collaboration meetings.
