The Harvard Privacy Tools Project, the OpenDP software project, and the Trustworthy AI Lab in the D^3 Institute invite applications for postdoctoral fellowships for tackling a range of data privacy issues using a variety of disciplinary methodologies. The salary, length, and other terms of the fellowships will vary depending on the research projects and funding of individual faculty members. Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate in Generative AI for the Rubin Observatory

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Fellowship –Global Health and Nutrition
The Nutrition and Global Health Program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow with an interest in global health, perinatal epidemiology, and maternal/neonatal/child/adolescent health. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the conduct of clinical trials and prospective cohort studies conducted in partnership with institutions in Africa and Asia. This position provides the opportunity to develop and extend skills in statistical analysis, draft grant proposals, create analytical frameworks, and author manuscripts for publication. All activities will be conducted in close collaboration with investigators and study personnel in Boston and collaborators in Africa and Asia. The fellow will work in close collaboration with Dr. Wafaie Fawzi and other members of our team in Boston and at partner institutions.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship focused on the acquisition and study of sediment hosted glasses from ocean ridges. The position would be part of a six year project of Charles Langmuir funded by the European Research Council and the National Science Foundation to obtain long time series of igneous and hydrothermal activity at ocean ridges. There is the potential to obtain the first continuous, high resolution, well dated million year time series of volcanic activity for any terrestrial volcanic system. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in petrology or geochemistry. Desirable experience includes laser ablation ICP-MS, trace element geochemistry, geochemical modeling, studies of young volcanic rocks, and sea-going field work. Candidates need to be able to participate in sea-going expeditions that would likely take place in 2025.

The Digital Value Lab, led by Professor Suraj Srinivasan, is seeking a management or micro-economics Postdoctoral Fellow. The mission of the Digital Value Lab is to conduct research on performance and value creation outcomes from AI, digital, and big-data driven transformation in organizations. An ideal candidate will be interested in research on digital transformation and AI in organizations, comfortable working directly with data.
A typical empirical project involves refining a research question, designing an experiment or survey, analyzing historical and experimental data, and writing targeted at peer reviewed social science journals. Candidates should have some familiarity with:
Causal analysis and experimental design: difference-in-differences and fixed effects models, instrumental variables, treatment selection, power analysis, analysis of attrition and non-compliance, analysis of heterogenous effects and interference;
Programming/scripting knowledge suitable for processing raw data for analysis (e.g., text manipulation);
One or more computational environments for statistical analysis (e.g., Stata, R, or Python);
Writing papers for management and economics journals;

Christopher Stubb’s research group is currently seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to play a key role in optimizing the performance of the Rubin Observatory system. Our near-term goal is to optimize the performance of the Rubin Observatory system, with a particular focus on flux calibration and image quality considerations. Once the system is in operation we intend to fully exploit the data set to address forefront open questions in cosmology, fundamental physics, and astrophysics.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Formal Semantics
The Department of Linguistics seeks applications for a full time postdoctoral researcher in the area of formal semantics. The appointment is expected to begin on or after July 1, 2024. The postdoc will be responsible for research on lexical aspect, event semantics and clausal embedding, focusing on work related to Dr. Bondarenko’s project “Clausal Embedding Meets Event Structure” (funded by the Dean’s Competitive Fund for Promising Scholarship). Research expertise that complements the expertise already present in the lab will be especially welcome, such as extensive experience working on topics related to lexical aspect, semantics of aspectual adverbials, and polarity phenomena. Professor Stratos Idreos solicits applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Harvard Computer Science, starting on September 1st 2024. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Buddhist Ministry 2024-25
Full-time post-doctoral fellowship for the academic year 2024-25. Proposals, research projects and English-language publications utilizing both Buddhism and ministry (understood broadly as leadership, service, chaplaincy, or caregiving) as areas of focus are welcomed.
