The candidate will be part of the “FIT FIRST FOR ALL” project (funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation), the Danish Centre for Motivation and Behaviour Science (DRIVEN) and the research unit Sport and Health Sciences. FIT FIRST FOR ALL is a school-based sport intervention for children aged 6-16 years old with an emphasis on fun which is implemented across many schools throughout Denmark. The primary tasks of the candidate will be to review literature, and to analyze quantitative data and write up papers for international peer-reviewed journals. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to data collection and knowledge exchange activities as part of the broader FIT FIRST FOR ALL team.

The Post Doc will work in the SDU Climate Elite Centre project “Mobilizing Post-Anthropocentric Climate Action: A New Root Narrative” (PACA). PACA seeks to map post-anthropocentric social theories that challenge the nature-culture divide and investigate traces of these theories in the population. It assesses the extent to which such practices and beliefs can provide a positive narrative for a new organization of production and consumption practices and, finally, the role of universities as mediators of the emergent post-anthropocentrism. This project has the ambition to develop into an international hub for research in post-anthropocentric consumption and production systems as foundational for a sustainable economy. The Post Doc will focus on unpacking post-anthropocentric theory to conceptualize a post-anthropocentric ontology in social movements, communities, and industries. PACA is based on the hypothesis that a conceptual shift in Social Sciences towards a post-anthropocentric narrative(s) can provide the imaginative basis for a different economy with different modes of production and consumption and to mobilize what has been termed the emergent ecological class (Latour and Schultz 2022).

The focus of the Postdoc position is to develop in operando characterization techniques that allow microstructural and electrical device characterization during mechanical stretching of organic thin-film devices, and on the basis of this to develop improved stretchable electronic devices. This involves synchrotron X-ray characterization of the organic thin films complemented with scanning probe microscopy and electrical transport measurements.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research within the project “PlastTrack – a technology platform for micro- and nanoplastics tracking” supported by the Interreg Deutschland-Danmark 6a programme. The applicant will be working at the Danish Molecular Biomedical Imaging Center at the Department Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in close affiliation with the other PlastTrack partners. The overall goal of PlastTrack focuses on developing a technological platform that automates the tracking and digital analysis of micro- and nanoplastics in cooperation with industrial partners.

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to fill a three-year position involving comprehensive characterization of the autophagic process that selectively traffics intra-cellular cholesterol, using state-of-the-art bioimaging and proteomics. The successful applicant will mainly work in the group of Associate Professor Jonathan Brewer, in close collaboration with Professor Martin Røssel Larsen, at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense). Additionally, they will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team led by the Kim Rewitz lab at the University of Copenhagen.

The postdoc project will examine the novel forms of humanistic knowledge production that the center promotes: collective research, challenge-based inquiry, transformative knowledge. The postdoc is expected to 1) map best practice methods, 2) propose and conduct an individual research project within the field, and 3) contribute to the activities and events in the center. The postdoc will be affiliated with the first research group and will take part in group meetings, research and outreach activities both at the University of Southern Denmark and at the University of Copenhagen. It is a requirement that the postdoc resides in Denmark during the period of employment. The selected candidate will be employed at the University of Copenhagen or the University of Southern Denmark, whichever is most appropriate, but must expect to work at both faculties. In recent years, a number of large-scale, interdisciplinary research projects and initiatives across the humanities and the social sciences such as Futures Challenges in the Nordics in Finland, UiO: Nordic in Norway, and the ReNEW-nework have sought to take stock of the particular strengths and challenges of the Nordics in a global context. The postdoc is expected to 1) map the current state of the art with a focus on the research into Nordic societal structures, 2) conduct an individual research project within this area, and 3) contribute to the activities and events in the center. Focusing on computational design and digital fabrication, the successful candidates will carry out research and teaching in one or more focus areas (listed below) and collaborate on research projects that involve advanced computational modelling, robotic/digital fabrication, material innovation with applications in the field of architecture, engineering, and construction. The selected candidates will work in a high-paced interdisciplinary environment and become part of a fast-growing research center that adopts a design-driven approach. Research activities will be interlinked to the development of CREATE´s educational offering in the MSc and BSc programs in the field of Civil and Architectural Engineering.

The applicant will be expected to conduct his/her research in neuroscience with a focus on understanding the role of the innate immune system in cardiometabolic risk factors for ischemic stroke. The applicant will be expected to explore the potential of modulating the central and peripheral innate immune response after ischemic stroke to identify novel therapeutic targets against the inflammatory response. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for the planning of the project as well as data acquisition, preparation and analysis, manuscript writing, and other activities for disseminating the results. The candidate will also be expected to apply for research funding from external funding agencies.

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Professor Blagoy Blagoev at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, SDU, Odense. Invited are applications from outstanding candidates with a keen interest in applying mass spectrometry-based proteomics to understand the molecular basis underlying cell signalling. The position is for one year with possibility for extension in up to four years. The position is available from 1 September 2023 or shortly thereafter.

We are specialized in robot solutions involving modelling, estimation, and control of advanced robot systems. In addition, the candidate will be integrated in CAPeX – a pioneer center for accelerating P2X materials discovery and work on automation of laboratory experiments.

The newly formed Axion Dark Matter and Astroparticle research group focuses on searches for dark matter in the form of axions and axion-like particles (ALPs) both in astrophysical observations and dedicated laboratory experiments. It is supported by a Starting Grant from the European Research Council. The group is part of the CP3-Origins Centre which includes leading scientists from mathematics, particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology at SDU.
