Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue specialized research training, education and experience in a vascular surgery research laboratory under the guidance of a surgeon-scientist mentor in the Department of Surgery.   The laboratory investigates the use of retrievable stent grafts to model disease, treat traumatic vascular injuries, and achieve focused drug delivery. The postdoc will support and conduct detailed complex scientific studies, functioning as a subject expert on one or more phases of the project(s).  They will prepare and/or present seminars, talks or lectures for dissemination of knowledge, particularly the results of research undertaken. The postdoc will assist in the management of one or more phases of the research effort. They will assist in the selection of key research personnel, including undergraduate and graduate students, to work on project(s) undertaken; work with and coordinate collaborating research staff, providing input on methods and procedures necessary to achieve desired goals. The postdoc advises undergraduate and graduate students in the analysis and interpretation of research data. They are responsible for the extraction, analysis and presentation of research data, and coordinate the analysis of research findings, preparing  detailed summaries for submission to the sponsoring agencies. The postdoc is  responsible for the development of research designs and procedures for data analysis on the project(s). They write, edit and/or approve progress reports, technical reports and journal articles; edit grant proposals and draft IRB documents for submission, and assist in the establishment of working relationships with potential sponsors and in the submission of detailed research proposals to governmental and private agencies.

The Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (CQISE) is a University Center focused on Ohio State’s quantum research enterprise. CQISE brings together a multidisciplinary community of researchers across the university and throughout the region to advance fundamental quantum science, investigate the quantum-classical boundary, and explore applications with quantum advantage. CQISE supports program development, seed grant funding, recruiting of faculty, creation of infrastructure, partnerships with industry, training of students, and community outreach. 

We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow based at the Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (CQISE). The ideal applicant will be able to work with faculty across the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering, specifically with faculty in the departments of math, physics, chemistry, electrical and computer engineering, materials science and engineering, or computer science and engineering. The Liang Laboratory at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral scholars to join our team in exploring innovative strategies to enhance tumor immunogenicity and overcome resistance to immunotherapy.

Our research focuses on identifying metabolic vulnerabilities in cancer and developing metabolic interventions to convert immunologically “cold” tumors into “hot” tumors, thereby promoting immune recognition and response.

We are particularly interested in investigating both genetic and chemical approaches to enhance MHC class I–mediated antigen presentation in tumor cells, with the goal of increasing tumor visibility to cytotoxic immune cells.

Candidates will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge models and techniques in tumor immunology, cancer metabolism, and therapeutic development. The Postdoctoral Scholar will support research and assessment efforts focused on introductory biology and the biology major, as well as recommend and organize training in evidence-based instructional and curricular best practices to meet the needs of undergraduate students and instructors in biology at Ohio State. We are inviting applications for 2 postdoctoral positions in our laboratory at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, Department of Neurology & Neuroscience Research Institute. Our lab focusses on axon-glia interactions and on how glial metabolism regulates axon integrity and myelination (e.g., Nature Neuroscience, PMID 32807950; Nature Neuroscience, PMID 25195104; PNAS, PMID 28484008). The John Glenn College of Public Affairs and Kirwan Institute of the Study of Race and Ethnicity at The Ohio State University invite applications for up to two postdoctoral scholar positions. The Department of Political Science and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at Ohio State University seek to appoint a Post-Doctoral Scholar in Traditional Governance in Africa under the supervision of Professor Amanda Lea Robinson. This will be a two-year appointment beginning August 15, 2026.

The post-doctoral scholar will work with Dr. Robinson on a research program on Traditional Governance in Africa, which is funded by the Mershon Center. The project evaluates how the history, institutional structures, and political practices of traditional institutions in Africa (e.g., chieftaincies) relate to the quality of governance they provide. The project employs a combination of original and existing data, both qualitative and quantitative.

While the post-doctoral scholar will be expected to devote 50% of their time to collaboration on all aspects of the project, candidates should also articulate an independent research agenda within the study of African traditional institutions. The remainder of the post-doctoral scholar’s time is given to developing their own research, publications, and professional profile. There are no teaching or service obligations, although the scholar is expected to be an active participant in both the Mershon Center and the Department of Political Science.

The salary for this position is $63,500. The postdoctoral scholar will also be provided with an annual $4,000 research fund. Applicants must plan to reside in the Columbus area during the relevant academic years, except in the case of project-related field research.

We are seeking a highly-motivated postdoctoral scholar to contribute to the development and clinical translation of advanced MRI methods for women’s imaging. The ideal candidate will have a passion for scientific discovery and bold initiatives that seek to break barriers and maximize clinical impact. Applicants should have experience with MRI pulse sequence and/or reconstruction method development substantiated by successful conference abstract and manuscript output. Postdoctoral researcher will implement clinical interventions with people with cancer under the supervision of Dr. Sharla Wells-Di Gregorio. The primary study involves implementation of a combined mHealth-telehealth symptom cluster (sleep, worry-anxiety, fatigue, depression) intervention for people with advanced cancer (1R01CA281885-04A1). This study will also examine immune and hormonal biomarkers that affect symptom clustering. The second involves a brief telehealth intervention with people with pancreatic cancer. Our mission is to further the understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias to improve diagnostics, quality of life and treatment options for those with neurodegenerative diseases.
