We invite applications for several postdoctoral research positions in experimental quantum computing with superconducting circuits. You will work in the stimulating research environment of the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT, http://wacqt.se). The core project of the centre is to build a quantum computer based on superconducting circuits. You will be part of the Quantum Computing Group within the Quantum Technology Laboratory (QTL) at the Microtechnology and Nanoscience (MC2) department, working in a large team of PhDs, postdocs and researchers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral researcher with interdisciplinary expertise to develop risk assessment and mitigation models using Large Language Models (LLMs). This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with researchers across the Division of Marine Technology at Chalmers University, with a focus on maritime transportation risk analysis.

The position focuses on interpretable, learning-based stochastic optimal control for over-actuated electric vehicles—vehicles with more actuators than degrees of freedom, which enable sophisticated control strategies but also increase system complexity.

Your work will include:

• Developing modular, efficient, and transparent control algorithms.
• Combining model predictive control with learning-based motion prediction under uncertainty.
• Ensuring algorithms can be deployed in real-time settings.
• Contributing to the development of open-source tools.

The project has both a strong theoretical foundation and practical relevance, aiming to deliver robust, explainable control methods that can be applied in real-world scenarios.

As a postdoc, you will also contribute to the academic environment through co-supervision of students, publication of results in high-impact journals and conferences, and participation in national and international research collaborations.

As AI systems become increasingly integrated into real-world applications, ensuring their privacy, security, and robustness is more important than ever. AI models are vulnerable to adversarial attacks, model inversion, data poisoning, and membership inference attacks, which can lead to privacy breaches, biased decision-making, or AI-driven misinformation.
This project aims to develop theoretically sound and practically viable methods to enhance AI security and safeguard user privacy. Research directions include, but are not limited to:

• Privacy-preserving AI: Advancing techniques to safeguard sensitive data in AI training and inference.
• Security and robustness of AI models: Designing strategies to detect, mitigate, and certify robustness against adversarial attacks and model manipulation, including vulnerabilities in large-scale AI models such as language models.
• Trustworthy AI: Improving explainability and fairness to mitigate biases and ensure ethical AI deployment.

You will lead the development of a system-level noise model for ducted fans and propellers, with particular focus on the effects of boundary layer ingestion. The work also includes:

• Whole-aircraft noise prediction
• Flight trajectory optimization
• Environmental and societal impact assessment of future air traffic, including hydrogen and electric aircraft
• Integration of AI techniques into a multidisciplinary framework for aircraft and air traffic system modeling

You will build on an existing in-house modeling platform and are expected to contribute scientifically within the scope of an EU collaborative project as well as through your own research initiatives. Results should be disseminated through publications and presentations.

This position is fully funded but not bound by any specific project. This provides great flexibility, allowing you to define your own research with the team, as long as the quality is there. You will work with a passionate and active team focused on improving the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of future transport systems. In the team, we are interested in state-of-the-art models, methods, and technologies to enhance transport systems. Our ongoing work covers the following topics, and we hope you can enhance or complement our research:

4. Any other topics in ITS that you think fascinating.

VOCs are hazardous chemicals that negatively impact air quality and health. In recent years, our research has examined elevated VOC levels in the indoor environments of newly constructed schools and offices, highlighting the limited effects of increased ventilation. We have proposed practical, energy-efficient ventilation strategies. This project builds on that foundation, with a focus on developing semi-permeable emission barriers to control off-gassing, creating efficient measurement techniques for VOC emissions from building materials, and further developing the “ventilation threshold” indicator.

The division of Food and Nutrition Science (FNS) is one of four research divisions at LIFE.
FNS addresses major societal challenges related to foods, sustainability and health. We conduct fundamental and applied research, innovation, education and dissemination in food and nutrition science with the aim to provide new knowledge and solutions that pave the way for a sustainable planet and healthy humans.

Our research topics span from food chemistry and technology to molecular- and data- driven nutrition.

In food science, we focus primarily on marine and plant-based food systems with the goal to promote high food quality, minimize losses throughout the value chain and to utilise alternative sources for production of nutrient.

In nutrition, we focus on human observational and intervention studies as well as cell-based model studies. By applying advanced data-driven approaches and state of the art biochemical- and OMICs technologies, we strive to understand and predict the role of foods, dietary components and dietary patterns in human health.

The research will focus on the design of novel composite materials and hydrogels based on biopolymers, nanocellulose, and conjugated polymers. You will work closely with WWSC researchers at Chalmers, KTH, and Linköping University (LiU). This role also offers exciting opportunities to travel and engage with external collaborators.

The team working on this project, consisting of the PI with three new PhD students, works across the entire edge stack, (re-)defining how edge systems are designed, built, and operated. Together, we aim to answer the following four research Questions:

1. What is the right architecture to build a distributed edge cloud, taking into account the trade-offs between
   cost, performance, bandwidth, and energy?
2. How to design adaptive edge applications that can utilize the full potential of the edge infrastructure given
   the multiple edge constraints?
3. How to manage the workload dynamics of real-time edge cloud applications taking into account mobility,
   load spikes, failures, and performance inversion?
4. How to manage and process massive data of edge applications in real-time while maintaining the
   requirements on data privacy and security?

We are seeking a postdoc to co-design efficient and realistic simulation algorithms for noisy quantum circuits in superconducting hardware, combining quantum modeling with hardware-aware performance engineering. The work involves simulations for quantum error correction and mid-circuit operations, and will require both low-level optimization skills (e.g., SIMD, GPU, FPGA) and an understanding of quantum simulation trade-offs. The role supports integration with a 25-qubit chip and involves close collaboration with physicists and engineers to push the boundaries of scalable, high-fidelity quantum simulations.

The lithium-ion battery market is expanding rapidly, driving the need for innovation in key components. Binders, crucial for electrode stability and long-term cycling performance, face challenges in both anode (especially silicon-based) and cathode applications. In this role, you will:

In this role, you will conduct research in signal processing for emerging multi-antenna (MIMO) communication systems, focusing particularly on systems where hardware constraints are a limiting factor.
