This position will lead aspects of a randomised clinical trial investigating the feasibility of implementing a LCS pathway within Quitline (Queensland Health) and the effect of intensive Quitline smoking cessation support compared to a regular support program for people undergoing LCS. This may include providing supervision to students and support to project management staff, and academic leadership of nested studies within the trial such as qualitative interviews and tracking of trial progress to agreed milestones.

This is Research focused Academic position within an established research group, conducting pre-clinical vaccine development with UQ’s molecular clamp platform for viruses of medical importance. The role is split across two research areas. Roughly 0.5FTE will focus on implementing a monoclonal antibody discovery pipeline as part of UQ’s Rapid Response Vaccine Pipeline, which is funded by Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). This position is funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery Project “Probing new physics with atomic parity violation”. An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow, Centre for Olympic and Paralympic Studies within the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences. The Senior Research Assistant will support researchers on Mental Health research projects. The nature of the research in this Program is to advance our long-term goal of personalised medicine. This program will conduct genome-wide expression profiling of transcriptional responses in human cell lines to compound exposure. These cellular transcriptomic assays will improve understanding of the mechanism of action of anti-depressants, as well as discover biological and genetic mechanisms that link to the differences between people in their responses to anti-depressants, which will facilitate new drug development, as well as the ability to tailor treatments to each individual.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow in AMR Data Analytics will facilitate the transformation, publication, extraction and distribution of AMR and AMU data located at CRC SAAFE’s industry partner data bases.
