We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in quantitative research methods and familiar with economic development of India and other Asian countries and economies. Candidate must be comfortable and proficient with statistical software such as STATA, and advanced programming languages.  

Provide expertise in conducting research activities, including but not limited to planning, organising, conducting, and communicating research studies within the overall scope of a research project:
•    Conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field in attracting research funding.
•    Conduct methodology research on reinforcement learning, dynamic treatment regimes, contextual bandit algorithms, causal inference, and novel clinical trials (e.g., SMART, MRT, adaptive) with applications in digital health.
•    Develop relevant statistical software. 
•    Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and develop connections with local and international researchers for collaborative work.
•    Analyse and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations and/or written reports/ scientific manuscripts for publication.
•    Contribute to project management, providing guidance to more junior researchers as well as undergraduate and graduate students. 
•    Contribute to occasional educational/instructional activities.
•    Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organizing, and conducting research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (http://www.digitalmedicinelab.org/):
•    Apply statistics, machine learning, and deep learning to analyse various types of clinical data such as large-scale electronic health records, biosignals, omics data, and/or medical images (MRI, CT, X-ray).
•    Conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact in medical informatics and health data science.
•    Write high-quality technical/methodological research papers, present research outcomes and develop connections with local and international researchers for collaboration work.
•    Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers, graduate students with occasional educational/instructional activities.
•    Perform other academic duties as required by the Principal Investigator.

The candidate is expected to work on a project examining immune responses to viral pathogens and allergic diseases by performing a variety of research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate. The main duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: –

• Independently carry out the design and execution of experimental research required by the research component of the project.
• Independently analyse complex data sets.

The Chronobiology and Sleep Laboratory (CSL) studies the effects of sleep and circadian rhythms on human performance and physiology. The research assistant will assist in running research study protocols, including studies on the effects of sleep behavior on learning, wellbeing, and physiologic responses.
