The postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent research on molecular and cellular factors contributing to development of osteoarthritis with special emphasis on exosomes (extracellular vesicles). This position requires participation in projects focused on analysis of human proteome and transcriptome, utilizing Western blot, next-generation sequencing technology (e.g. RNA-Seq, miRNA-Seq etc.), qPCR and other methods. Eosinophilic disorders are allergen induced lung and gastrointestinal diseases, commonly observed in both pediatric and adult patients. A postdoctoral position is available investigating genetic/epigenetic control of cardiac and vascular senescence. This NSF-funded project will focus on understanding past ocean oxygenation responses on glacial timescales via thallium metal isotope and benthic foraminifera geochemistry data in the sediment cores.
