The successful candidates are expected to perform the following tasks:

• Work on project-relevant subjects from the last and current Release of the 3GPP radio access and/or core network standards, implement the features in MATLAB and/or OpenAirInterface software for computer simulations, and conduct theoretical research to submit proposals to the ongoing study or work items, with a view towards patenting and possible inclusion into the future Releases.

The Postdoc will be a member of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) at the University of Luxembourg. He/She will work under supervision of Associate Prof. Dr. Denis Scuto. He/She will conduct methodologically innovative, data-driven research in field of Migration in Contemporary History of Luxembourg and the Greater Region and actively contribute to historical expertise on migration studies in Luxembourg. The central focus of DYNAMIQUES is the investigation of the everyday dynamics (pattern of growth, change, and development) of students’ (and their teachers’) perceptions of instructional quality, motivation, and learning gains from one school lesson to the next. Specifically, this position will focus on the use of electronic diaries (aka experience sampling) and on the exploitation of the collected micro-longitudinal data from a content-related and a methodological perspective. The selected candidate shall develop a machine learning-based approach that integrates different types of OMICs data for interrogating biological pathways and genes linking aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Furthermore, combining this approach with a protein network-based model the candidate shall identify drug targets and predictive markers for AD. The project will be conducted in close collaboration with Prof. Michael Heneka at the LCSB, who will also conduct the experimental validation of the computational predictions.

The candidate will lead development activities in the Zero-G Lab and should undertake her/his research on utilising the two UR10e robotic arms installed in the Zero-G Lab to emulate orbital scenarios in 6DOFs for proximity operations and the new robotics-arms research facility to be equipped with 2x UR3, 2xUR6, 2, 1x Kinova Gen2, 1xFranka and 2xKinova Gen3. This research initiative aims to accelerate drug repurposing for rare neurological, neurometabolic, and neuromuscular disorders by leveraging shared clinical and molecular pathology mechanisms. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge translational neuroscience research, integrating stem cell models, high-throughput drug screening, and innovative clinical trial designs.

We are offering a 2-year postdoc position in the form of a full-time employment at the University of Luxembourg, funded by the European Comission within the HORIZON EUROPE framework (”SIMPATHIC” proposal to Prof. KRÜGER and Dr. Ibrahim Boussaad) and in close collaboration with the SIMPATHIC consortium members, for the development of a repurposing drug candidate for the treatment of spinocerebellar ataxia type 3, Leigh syndrome, congenital neurotransmitter defect, pyridoxine dependent epilepsy, Glutaric aciduria, PMM2-Congenital disorder glycosylation, Zellweger Spectrum Disorders, myotonic dystrophy type 1 and congenital myasthenic syndrome. The project aims is to accelerate drug repurposing for these rare neurological, neurometabolic and neuromuscular disorders (neuro-RD) by simultaneous drug screenings on patient- derived neuronal models. The candidate will be involved in extensive experimental work, including neuronal differentiation, drug screening assay development, high content confocal imaging and computational analyses of confocal images.

The main goal of LunarAssembly is to achieve a high-performance teleoperation system under large time delays. LunarAssembly combines force feedback teleoperation with autonomous agents trained by human operators on the ground, enhancing operator telepresence and system through an eXtended Reality framework. This integration aids decision-making and risk avoidance, reinforced by Intelligence Augmentation capabilities. It will be achieved through rigorous testing and refinement of the integrated system.
