Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Senior Research Associate (Recruitment Only) – (16001535)

The Senior Research Associate, in collaboration with the Principal Investigators at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of clinical trials in the assigned department. Primary responsibilities include the coordination of study enrollment; oversight of study protocols; and submission of research activities per IRB regulations. The incumbent will establish and maintain databases of subjects; monitor data collection for accuracy; process informed consent paperwork; and ensure that study payment is processed and received in a timely fashion. Additional responsibilities include working independently to drive day-to-day research activities; monitoring and tracking expenditures; supporting multiple active protocols simultaneously; and working with multiple investigators while adhering with FDA, IRB, Pennsylvania, and related regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Sr Clinical Research Associate-Thoracic Medicine and Surgery – (23002186)

The Senior Research Associate in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Pulmonary/Critical Care/SleepMed department provides comprehensive senior level coordination of the research activities.  TMS supports Temple Lung Center and has one of the most active and wide-ranging pulmonary research programs in the world. Areas of focus include COPD, emphysema, respiratory failure, lung transplantation, pulmonary arterial hypertension, alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, asthma, lung cancer, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis and sleep apnea. Our program also maintains a strong clinical research program with studies and clinical trials that test new medications, devices or procedures in patients in order to find more effective treatments. The Temple Lung Center typically has several dozen open clinical trials at any one time and consistently ranks among the highest enrolling sites for pulmonary clinical trials in the nation.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Sr Research Associate – (23002836)

The Senior Research Associate, under the supervision of the Research Administrator for the Department of Surgery and in collaboration with the Clinical Investigators, will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of Clinical Research studies in one or more divisions of Surgery in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Incumbent will work independently to drive day to day research activities from study start-up to closeout. Primary responsibilities include: coordinate recruitment and enrollment of research participants; establish and maintain databases of subjects; schedule and conduct study visits; collect and enter data; register subjects and study visits in OnCore; perform Epic research billing review; maintain an up to date regulatory binder; schedule and attend sponsor visits; and prepare and submit IRB paperwork to ensure compliance with IRB regulations. Incumbent may assist with grant or manuscript preparation and maintenance of investigator-initiated studies registered on clinicaltrials.gov. Incumbent will support multiple active protocols simultaneously, and working with multiple investigators while adhering with FDA, IRB, Pennsylvania, and related regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. (04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Project Associate – (23002574)

Responsibilities include: maintenance of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells (iPS cells require medium change every 1-2 days, necessitating a medium change once over the weekend) and an animal colony; manipulate the genome of cell lines and conduct experiments, including vector construction, iPS and immortalized cell genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9, transgene insertion into the genome of iPS and immortalized cells, directional differentiation of iPS cells to the desired cell types, characterization of the cell proteome and secretome using ELISA, western immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry and characterization of the cell transcriptome using quantitative PCR. The individual will maintain detailed outlines of employed procedures and experimental protocols, make detailed records of conducted experiments, organize and maintain records of data, prepare figures for presentation and present results at lab meetings. 
Performs assigned research duties, including analyzing data, interpreting information, and creating reports. Executes experimental protocols, maintains records on all experiments and maintains equipment. Makes corrective modifications in methodology; assists with the completion of research projects. Works with tissue samples and animals; records results of research tests and experiments and prepares detailed charts and reports of procedures; operates and maintains sophisticated laboratory equipment. May maintain, assemble, adjust and make minor repairs to complex laboratory equipment; collects and organizes data using statistical software packages. Analyzes research results and prepares results for presentation at meetings and conferences, research reports, manuscripts and papers; orders supplies, examines instrument malfunctions, and assists in instrument repair. Performs other duties as assigned.
