Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Scholar – Biochemistry
Dr. Xiaojing Liu’s laboratory at the Department of Molecular and Structural Biochemistry, North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, is actively seeking exceptional postdoctoral researchers or laboratory technician with expertise in mouse studies, particularly with a focus on in vivo stable isotope tracing. In addition, our laboratory collaborates with Dr. Arion Kennedy’s laboratory that uses dietary and genetic mouse models to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the immune system and metabolic disease. Our NIH-funded research aims to quantitatively investigate metformin-induced metabolic changes in both the intestine and liver. We focus on understanding the hierarchical organization of these alterations and identifying the connections between intestinal metabolic activities and hepatic lipid homeostasis. To better understand the dynamic metabolic interactions between lifestyle, drugs that target metabolism, and etiology of disease, the Liu lab is dedicated to the development and application of high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics methods in biomedical research.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Scholar
The research project will study how human users (as a driver or AV user) interact with AVs on the road to investigate a set of problems like (1) how human drivers decide whether to cooperate with AVs (e.g., to yield or not) and (2) how AV users decide whether to accept the cooperation from the algorithmic design? We are interested in learning the influential factors in such human-AV interactions, the decision-making process from the cognitive and/or behavioral economics perspective, and how to develop strategies to promote human-AV cooperation (e.g., via improved communication design, or nudging).
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc Research Scholar – Clinical Research

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doctoral Research Scholar
The Postdoctoral Reserach Scholar will conduct research into allelic gene regulation and its effects on plant performance, genotype-by-environment interactions, and/or environmental adaptation. To achieve this, the scholar is expected to generate and analyze datasets from high throughput phenotyping and/or genomic, transcriptomic, or translatomic sequencing data. Due to the nature of funding, the scholar will have considerable flexibility to define their research trajectory. The scholar will also have the opportunity to develop professionally through mentoring students, writing manuscripts or grant proposals, and communicating research findings.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doc Research Scholar – Bioelectricity Lab
The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences trains doctors of veterinary medicine, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows interested in research-based careers focused on discovering new information about animal and human health and disease and using those findings to enhance animal and human health and well-being. The candidate for this postdoc position will conduct large / small animal studies investigating a new pulsed electric field cancer therapy. They will conduct treatments administered via an ultrasound guided approach, conduct necropsies, then process and analyze data. The candidate will additionally assist with other experiments in the laboratory using in vitro and small animal models to investigate the effects of pulsed electric fields on biological tissues.
