(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc positions on “Live” Visualizations of Single Nanoparticle Catalysts at the Atomic-Scale – DTU Physics
VISION is developing and applying a new unique platform for visualizing catalytic nanoparticles and reactions at the atomic-level by integrating cutting-edge electron microscopy, microfabricated nanoreactors, nanoparticle synthesis and computational modelling. This approach enables new, direct operando observations that are urgently needed to advance mechanistic insight into catalytic processes at the atomic-scale.
The interdisciplinary approach aims at relating the atomic-scale structure, dynamics and functions of isolated, single nanoparticles in both thermal catalysis and electrocatalysis as a radical new approach for developing new and more efficient catalysts needed to tackle the environmental challenges of our time.
VISION’s hosts a new one-of-a-kind electron microscope facility, located in DTU’s new “Climate Challenge Laboratory” building. The new laboratory will host the VISION center, the Surface Physics and Catalysis section, the CatTheory section and the Pioneer Center, CAPeX, as a vibrant collaborative research environment with internationally leading scientists in the fields of catalysis and power-to-X.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc in Elasticity modelling – DTU Offshore
DTU Offshore (DOTC) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position in Elasticity modelling starting 1 October 2024.
In the future the focus of the offshore industry will be on safe/reliable continued oil & gas recovery from increasingly lower reservoir quality rock, subsurface CO2 storage, and hydrocarbon field abandonment. For these focus areas it is key to understand the flow potential and the risk of rock failure to access production potential and prevent leakage.
The group, you will be joining, works on the understanding of the flow potential of low permeability diatomaceous sedimentary rocks with a focus on assessing matrix and fracture permeability from data derived from rock samples and borehole geophysical logging tools. This will lead to a new understanding of how diatomite properties control flow potential. This is relevant for both sealing properties in relation to well abandonment and CO2 storage, as well as evaluation of new hydrocarbon prospects.
Your main focus will be on the geomechanics of deformation in diatomite’s, but you will collaborate with another post doc working on modelling permeability. The project is integrated with related projects at Aker BP involving laboratory services from Stratum Reservoir in Norway and geomechanical tests done by Geo in Denmark.

The Center for Biosustainability (CFB) at DTU (Denmark) and the FEMSA Biotechnology Center (CBF) at Tecnológico (TEC) de Monterrey (Mexico) have launched a joint research program to foster a bilateral strategic partnership to promote innovative projects in biosustainability (Joint CFB-CBF research program).

As postdoc at DTU Chemical Engineering, you will support the development of these technologies. Specifically, we are working on projects where a high temperature heat pump will increase the efficiency of thermal carbon capture. We study and develop the next generation carbon capture, and work together with national and international project partners.
We are currently developing a world-leading research group in gas cleaning technologies. The scientific field of gas cleaning, especially CO2 capture, is growing, and we expect this to continue for many years to come. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in NMR based structural studies of RNA riboswitches – DTU Chemistry
We welcome applicants for a three-year postdoc position at the Department of Chemistry, DTU and the NMR Center • DTU. In this position, you will engage in exciting research related to structural and dynamics studies of RNA riboswitches using mainly NMR spectroscopy as well as their in vitro expression. The position will be in the NMR spectroscopy research group headed by Assoc. Prof. Charlotte H. Gotfredsen.
The position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary project. You will carry out research in a team engaged in multiple NMR projects in the field of RNA structural studies, fragment-based drug discovery screening and studies of interactions with their targets (RNA or protein), natural product, the identification of new structural scaffolds and in-situ NMR based metabolomics. The research project will provide opportunities to synthesize RNA using both in vitro transcription and chemically, preform NMR based structural elucidation of the fluorine responsive riboswitch apo and holo form as well as study the dynamic and kinetic structural impact of different ligands and ions on RNA structures. In this position you will also have opportunities to work with undergraduate and graduate students.
