(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Nuclear Power Safety
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to develop and improve models and codes for assessment of the liquid source term during severe accident (SA) of LWR systems. In particular, research will include assessment of the characteristics of the containment water pool by system code, thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of Cs and Sr chemistry including model development and its implementation to the system codes. This project is contributing to the larger EU project SOCRATES which addresses the critical gaps in understanding of the liquid source term during SA and offers innovative solutions to mitigate and monitor the release of radionuclides into the environment.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc in Quantum Matter
The position as a postdoctoral scholar will be within the Division of light and matter within the Applied physics department at KTH. The department is part of the Stockholm center for physics, astronomy and biotechnology. The center groups physics related research within both KTH and Stockholm university which provides access to a multitude of research infrastructure as well as the opportunity for collaboration with a multitude of experimental as well as theoretical research groups.
We seek a highly motivated postdoc to conduct experimental research in the Quantum Matter group at the Applied Physics department KTH. Central to the research project is the study electronic structure and the dynamics occurring at extremely short time periods, down to the femtosecond time scale (10-15 s). In your research, you will be part of a group investigating electronic structure and ultrafast transient states in quantum materials such as topological materials and superconductors. A primary tool is our newly commissioned time and angle resolved photoemission spectrometer (tr-ARPES). With tr-ARPES the electronic band structure of quantum materials will be mapped following ultrafast electronic and/or structural excitations. We have recently developed a new HHG source that delivers photon energies from 10.8 eV to beyond 25 eV at an energy resolution better than 20 meV. The combined high temporal, energy, and momentum resolutions will provide detailed information on dynamic processes previously not feasible to study experimentally. Of special current interest is the development of new spectroscopic techniques to study high temperature superconductivity. The research will also be carried out at national and international synchrotron light sources and in collaboration with other local and external groups.
Deadline : 10.Oct.2025

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in human in the loop control for medical robotics
Do you have a background within mechatronics, biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering and research interests in medical robotics and human in the loop control – this could be a position for you. We are looking for an ambitious, collaborative, and structured person to join our team.
You will lead research efforts in human-in-the-loop control for medical robotics in the context of cardiovascular technologies. The goal is to innovate control systems for optimized interaction of soft cardiovascular pumps and wearable biofeedback systems with the human body. You will have the opportunity to critically assess the safety of the proposed control system for real-world application utilizing a hybrid mock circulation. The unique systems enables real-time testing in interaction with the human cardiovascular system dynamics across various patient groups. You are expected to publish in scientific journals in an independent way and to support the coordination of the research group and supervision of students.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdocs in Nuclear Power Safety
Nuclear Power Safety (NPS) Division seeks engaged postdoc to study in-vessel corium melt retention (IVMR) in small modular reactor (SMR) of PWR type, and (ii) ex-vessel melt-coolant interactions and melt spreading. The project is supported by Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (https://www.stralsakerhetsmyndigheten.se/). The IVMR research will be towards adaptation of the conventional IVR methodology developed for and used in the medium- and large-power PWRs and its further implementation in new SMR designs. The expected results are connected with demonstration of potential efficiency of the IVMR strategy, which can significantly improve SMR safety performance by preservation of integrity of reactor pressure vessel, i.e. the existing safety barrier.
Deadline : 07.Oct.2025
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Researcher in CFD Simulation of heat-transfer and advanced heat-exchangers
The position is located at the division of process technology at KTH and will focus on CFD simulation of heat-transfer. It is part of our activity for sustainable processes and decarbonization of industry. The present project focuses on CFD simulations of chemically reacting flows with application to heat recovery. In this project, we consider the flow, turbulence, mixing, finite rate chemically reaction and conjugate heat-transfer in the simulations. The project will cover elementary and real type advanced heat-exchangers. We use both high-fidelity simulations to capture the details of the chemical associated with heat-transfer and commercial codes (ANSYS) for simulating the complex heat-exchanger. The work will consist of setting up simulations, meshing complex geometries, using super-computers, data analysis and presentation of the result. The data analysis might include some coding in python

About KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden – Official Website
KTH Royal Institute of Technology, abbreviated KTH, is a public research university in Stockholm, Sweden. KTH conducts research and education within engineering and technology, and is Sweden’s largest technical university. Currently, KTH consists of five schools with four campuses in and around Stockholm.
KTH was established in 1827 as Teknologiska Institutet (Institute of Technology), and had its roots in Mekaniska skolan (School of Mechanics) that was established in 1798 in Stockholm. But the origin of KTH dates back to the predecessor to Mekaniska skolan, the Laboratorium Mechanicum, which was established in 1697 by Swedish scientist and innovator Christopher Polhem. Laboratorium Mechanicum combined education technology, a laboratory and an exhibition space for innovations. In 1877 KTH received its current name, Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (KTH Royal Institute of Technology). The King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf is the High Protector of KTH.
