(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in coarse-grained modeling of nanocarriers for food fortification
In this project, you will use coarse-grained simulations to develop stable mineral-loaded nanocarriers composed of a core containing essential mineral nutrients (e.g., Ca, Mg, Zn) and a stabilizing phosphopeptide shell. You will design a novel, highly coarse-grained model of the nanocarrier and use Brownian dynamics simulations to investigate its assembly and disassembly mechanisms in relation to nutrient loading capacity. Based on these insights, you will formulate design rules to predict optimal loading conditions and release mechanisms, supporting experimental optimization.
Deadline : 28-02-2026
(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc on Gender Bias in Film
Do you want to quantify how movies shape gender and power? Join a short, focused postdoc to help finish a large-scale project mapping gender bias in film. You will turn a mature dataset and clear hypotheses into publishable results.
You will join an interdisciplinary team studying how creative teams in the film industry relate to on-screen portrayal of women and how viewers respond across time and cultures. The project is in an advanced stage: core data are assembled and analysis pipelines are underway. Working closely with the principal investigator and collaborators, you will complete the main analyses, stress-test robustness, and contribute to the writing of the paper.
Deadline : 03-02-2026
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postodctoral researcher in analytical chemistry of casein-based nanocarriers
We are looking for a motivated researcher to explore how casein phosphopeptides encapsulate and release essential micronutrients such as calcium, zinc, iron, and magnesium within nano-sized core–shell assemblies. You will work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary project combining experimental and computational expertise, and in close collaboration with dairy industry partners and advanced analytical instrumental companies. Together, we aim to unravel the molecular principles of peptide–mineral ions interactions and work towards designing the next generation of protein-based nutrient delivery systems for food applications.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Position in Developmental Psychology
Are you interested in understanding early socio-emotional development? We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to test whether infants’ sense of self is necessary for self-conscious emotions to occur. This research is at the intersection of developmental psychology and affective science.
The post-doc will replicate the seminal study by Lewis and colleagues (1989) in which the authors examined the necessity of self-awareness for the emergence of self-conscious emotions in infants and young children. The project will consist of a lab study in which observational tasks will be used to assess children’s self-awareness and self-conscious emotions
Deadline : 08-02-2026
(07) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc Positions in Experimental Soft Matter
We are seeking exceptional candidates for a postdoc in the Soft Matter group at the University of Amsterdam, under the supervision of Daniel Bonn (please do not contact him, if you have a question, the contact details are at the bottom of the page). This fully funded experimental project aims at deepening our understanding of physical mechanisms involved in, e.g., liquid sprays, emulsions and solid friction, with applications in pharmaceuticals, food industry, agriculture and semiconductors.
Deadline : 01-09-2026
(08) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Feeding Strategies of Antarctic Mixotrophic Microalgae Exposed by Proteomics
The Antarctic seasonal sea-ice zone is rapidly changing, with consequences for the key primary producers: microalgae growing in sea-ice and water. While traditionally regarded as purely photoautotrophic, many of these microalgae likely also feed on other microbes or take up dissolved organic matter. Such a mixotrophic lifestyle might help them to survive the polar night and allow them an early start in the growing season, long before other algae receive sufficient light to pick up growth. Additionally, microalgae contribute to the production of the trace gas dimethylsulfide (DMS) that has an impact on climate via cloud formation.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Researcher to Explore the Legal Aspects of Inclusive Technologies for Access & Social Participation
This position is a unique opportunity to help explore how AI and immersive media technologies can contribute to improving the accessibility of digital services and help to realise the fundamental rights to non-discrimination, equality and freedom of expression of people with visual, hearing or cognitive disabilities. You will join a team of researchers from computer science, media technology, social sciences and Human-Computer Interaction research who, together with users, the representatives of different user communities and societal partners from the media and cultural sector use participatory methods to co-design and co-create assistive technologies. The tasks of the legal researcher will be to analyse the relevant legal frameworks, identify design requirements and help to define how potential solutions to operationalize these rules could look like. The legal work package will also look into the broader fundamental rights implications of assistive technologies.
