Linkoping University, Sweden invites online Application for various Postdoctoral Fellowship in their different Departments. We are providing a list of Postdoc Fellowship positions available at Linkoping University, Sweden.
Eligible candidate may Apply as soon as possible.
(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Ethology
Your main tasks will be to analyse and compile data and video material from a random sample of Swedish dog owners. The long‑term goal is to create a more complete picture of the Swedish dog population – including personality types in both dogs and owners, and how these relate to each other. In the long run, the results may provide knowledge relevant to breeders, rehoming organisations and dog owners, with the aim of improving the quality of life and welfare of dogs and their owners. As part of this position, you will also be involved in teaching within the subject of biology.
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.
Deadline : 31 March, 2026
(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc on Virtual Knowledge Graph Integration
You will actively participate and lead work tasks in two complementary research projects on foundations and techniques for querying federations of knowledge graphs, including knowledge graph views of heterogeneous types of data sources.
Depending on your expertise and preferences, your work may focus on the theoretical foundations of queries and mappings in this context (e.g., formal results on fundamental properties of relevant languages) or on developing, implementing, and evaluating efficient and scalable techniques for systems that process and answer such queries (e.g., query optimization algorithms, adaptive query processing approaches). Conducting this research work includes also to prepare scientific publications about the results.
As postdoc, you will primarily carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours. Additionally, there will opportunities to supervise students.
Deadline :March 15, 2026

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Medical Image Processing
The position is about developing deep learning methods for medical image processing, with a focus on orthopedics, cardiovascular disease and federated learning. Within orthopedics the focus is on finding atypical femur fractures and predicting hip prosthetic loosening, using a very large x-ray dataset. For cardiovascular disease the goal is to from CT volumes predict if a patient is at risk for atherosclerosis. The position also involves developing methods for federated learning, where data are spread across nodes.
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.
Deadline : 2026-03-01
(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral position on Active Optical Metasurfaces
You will be part of the Organic photonics and Nanooptics group (www.mpjonsson.com), headed by Prof. Magnus Jonsson. Recent interests of the group include dynamic conducting polymer nanooptics, structural coloration and cellulose-based optics. Examples of application areas include dynamically tuneable metasurfaces, reflective displays, and radiative cooling. The working language is English.
Our research group belongs to the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE, www.liu.se/LOE), which is a vibrant and collaborative research environment of around 150 researchers from all over the world. LOE is renowned for its world-leading research on organic electroactive materials, with applications ranging from bioelectronics to nanooptics.
In terms of available facilities, we recently installed an electron-beam lithography system specifically dedicated to this project (Raith Voyager 100). Other labs and equipment range from materials development (chemistry labs, polymerization setups, etc.) and fabrication (evaporation and sputtering, traditional and maskless photolithography, e-beam lithography, nanoimprint lithography, reactive ion etching, etc.) to characterization (SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, 4-point probe setups, cyclic voltammetry, spectroscopy in different spectral ranges, etc.) and device measurements in our optics labs (electrochemical microspectroscopy, metasurface characterization, integrating sphere measurements, etc.).
Deadline : February 25, 2026
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in SERS-Based Sensing for Wound Infection Diagnostics
The postdoctoral researcher will play a leading role in an interdisciplinary project developing advanced SERS-based diagnostic technologies for rapid detection and characterization of wound infections. The work combines materials development, spectroscopy, and biomedical validation in clinically relevant environments.
Key work assignments include:
- Design, fabrication, and optimization of high-performance plasmonic nanostructures and SERS substrates for sensing in complex biological matrices.
- Hands-on acquisition of SERS data from biologically and clinically relevant samples, including in vitro bacterial cultures, experimentally infected wound models, and clinical wound samples in collaboration with clinical partners
- Development and optimization of robust SERS measurement and sampling strategies suitable for heterogeneous, variable, and protein-rich biological environments
- Physicochemical and spectroscopic characterization of substrate performance, including sensitivity, reproducibility, stability, and matrix effects
- Quantitative analysis of spectroscopic data using multivariate statistics and machine-learning–assisted approaches, in close interaction with data science collaborators
- Active collaboration across disciplines spanning spectroscopy, soft matter and nanomaterials, microbiology, and clinical wound research
- Preparation of high-impact scientific publications, conference contributions, and participation in international research networks
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.
Deadline :12 February, 2026
