Eligible candidate may Apply as soon as possible.
(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Agent-based Human–Earth System Modelling
The position will be associated with the MISTRA Anthropocene Navigator project, which aims to identify robust coalition-building strategies for achieving global sustainability in times of polycrisis. The project combines keystone actor mapping and engagement of diplomats with integrated human–Earth system modelling to explore coalition-building strategies that can advance global sustainability goals such as the Global Biodiversity Framework, the 1.5°C goal, and the zero Pandemics goal.
Deadline : 15.Jun.2026
(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Brain Morphology and Behaviour Evolution
The aim of the project is to investigate the evolutionary associations between brain morphology variation and behavioural variation at the within-species level. To do this, the project will use three already established guppy (Poecilia reticulata) artificial selection lines with i) different relative brain size, ii) different schooling behaviour and, iii) different relative telencephalon size. Substantial infrastructure (>4000 aquaria, six rooms dedicated to individual and group assays for large sample sizes) allows for artificial selection experiments, multiple assays of cognitive abilities, mate choice, predator-prey interactions, collective motion, migration behaviour, physiology, and brain and body morphology. Molecular tools are also available in the department for analyses of genomic mechanisms behind the observed phenotypic variation. Personal research interests of the postdoc will be important to determine the exact project.
Deadline : 31.May.2026

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Sleep and Circadian Rhythms in Cognition and Behaviour
The postdoctoral position is embedded within a research programme investigating how circadian rhythms influence cognitive functioning and mental health, with relevance to digital behaviours and neuropsychiatric conditions such as ADHD. The overarching aim is to advance the understanding of sleep and chronobiological mechanisms as dynamic and multidimensional processes, and how they interact with brain function, behaviour, and treatment response. A central line of the postdoc’s research will be to examine how endogenous circadian rhythms influence cognitive functioning and symptoms, and how these relationships vary across the day, and between individuals. The position is also linked to research on how digital behaviour relates to cognition and dopamine-related processes.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with large and complex datasets, approaches research and data collection in a careful and responsible manner, and demonstrates curiosity and innovative thinking. A strong interest in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, sleep and circadian processes, and/or temporal processes in behaviour and mental health is expected, along with enthusiasm for project management. The position offers opportunities to take responsibility for research projects, and potential to shape ongoing and upcoming projects within an interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment.
Deadline : 22.May.2026
(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Algebraic Topology
The department of mathematics and statistics at Stockholm university is seeking to recruit a postdoc working in algebraic topology, broadly interpreted.
The permanent members of the topology group are Gregory Arone, Alexander Berglund and Dan Petersen. There always are several postdocs and graduate students working in topology, as well as researchers working in adjacent fields, e.g. algebraic geometry. The position is funded by Arone’s grant from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. Research interests of the group members include Homotopical algebra, operad theory, calculus of functors, automorphisms of manifolds, configuration spaces, etc.
Deadline : 15.May.2026
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in High pressure solid state chemistry
The project aims at facilitating reactions of solids with fluid oxygen (“oxygenations”) at pressures up to 20 GPa (200 kbar, ~200,000 atm) and temperatures in excess of 1000 °C using large-volume press (LVP) high pressure methodology. This capability will greatly enhance the synthesis potential for new solid state oxides in which later 3d transition metals (Fe – Cu) are locked in expanded oxidation states and provide a unique opportunity to experimentally test theoretical predictions of existence of elusive materials with potentially interesting magnetic states and/or electrical transport properties. Most parts of the research will be performed at the synchrotron radiation facility PETRA III in Hamburg, Germany, and utilizing in situ diffraction for monitoring oxygenation reactions at extreme pressure and temperature conditions.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Soil Biogeochemical Modelling
Deadline : 09.May.2026
(07) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Biophysics of Protein Phase Separation
The position will be associated with the project “The Role of the Human Chaperone DNAJB6 in Regulation of Liquid-Liquid and Liquid-Solid Phase Transitions” supported by the Olle Engkvist Stiftelse.
Biomolecular condensates formed through liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) play key roles in the spatial organization of cellular processes. However, these dynamic assemblies can also undergo aberrant phase transitions that promote pathological protein aggregation associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Molecular chaperones are central components of cellular protein quality control systems, yet their roles in regulating protein phase behavior within biomolecular condensates remain poorly understood. This project aims to determine how the human chaperone DNAJB6 regulates such protein phase separation and phase transitions. DNAJB6 is a potent anti-amyloid chaperone known to suppress aggregation of several disease-related proteins. The project involves biophysical experimental work conducted in vitro, employing methods in protein biochemistry, advanced microscopy, and structural mass spectrometry to study the mechanisms by which molecular chaperones regulate protein phase behavior and aggregation.
The position will be based in the research group of Dr. Cagla Sahin, which studies intrinsically disordered proteins and phase separation using biochemical, biophysical and mass spectrometry-based approaches. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Nicklas Österlund.
Deadline : 08.May.2026
