Postdoctoral position summary/title: The Department of Geology at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Geochemistry or Analytical Chemistry. More specifically, the successful applicant will focus research on Olduvai Gorge biogeochemistry, archaeological residues and stable chemical species in sediments as deep time indicators of behaviour and environment. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in full-time research activities, including field and lab innovation.

Postdoctoral position summary/title:  Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral research position in healthcare analytics at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. The researcher will work on projects related to the development of innovative, implementable and effective healthcare delivery. Postdoctoral position summary/title: The postdoctoral scholar will be involved in the use of antigen-specific nanomedicines capable of re-programming different immune cell types in vivo, both in isolation and in combination, to blunt inflammatory bowel disease. The candidate will have the opportunity to use a variety of functional, phenotypic (e.g. multi-dimensional flow cytometry, mass cytometry), transcriptomic and epigenetic tools (e.g. scRNAseq, multiome, etc.) to dissect pharmacodynamic effects of therapy. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists working at the interphase of protein engineering, nanomedicine, in vivo cell re-programming, developmental immunology and chronic inflammatory disease.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: The Centre for Corporate Sustainability, in the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in sustainable finance. More specifically, the successful applicant will explore the different financial instruments, market conditions, and investment decisions based on ESG criteria, either from the corporate or investor perspective, which facilitate transition to a low carbon economy. The research will be published in high-quality academic finance and/or sustainability journals, as well as top practitioner-oriented journals.  Research topics include, but are not limited to, the role of venture capitalist and private equity investors in fostering environmental innovations, valuation of climate risks for corporations and investors, ESG ratings and the price and availability of financing, and financing energy transition.

(07) Postdoctoral Position

Postdoctoral position summary/title: The available position is part of the multidisciplinary research program in the Tarailo-Graovac group which combines human and model organism (Caenorhabditis elegans) genomics, bioinformatics (“dry lab”) and traditional molecular genetics approaches (“wet lab”) to understand which variation in a DNA manifests as a disease, and why disease manifestation may be different in different individuals (ie. genetic modifiers). We utilize high throughput genetic screens, whole genome sequencing and CRISPR/Cas9 knock-out and knock-in methods to model and understand human disease.
