We are hiring a post-doc in the project ‘Evolution along environmental gradients: does non-adaptive plasticity drive climate adaptation and species range limits?’ The goal is to understand the relative roles of phenotypic plasticity and genetic adaptation for thermal performance at different spatial scales using natural amphibian populations as models. Previous studies in these systems have shown the importance of countergradient variation in local climatic adaptation.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

The postdoc will work in projects to develop and evaluate PET radiopharmaceuticals for in vivo molecular imaging of processes in metabolic disease and oncology. The over-all objective of the current project is to study and further develop protein- and peptide-based PET ligands for diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. Specifically, the project aims to develop peptide-based PET ligands for early detection of blood clots, which can form in the brain of Alzheimer’s disease patients. To increase brain uptake of the peptide ligands, they will be chemically linked to brain penetrating antibody fragments, then labeled with different PET-compatible radionuclides.
