(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Researchers in cloud feedbacks in next-generation climate models
The researcher position will be associated with the EU Horizon 2020 project Next Generation Earth Modeling Systems (NextGEMS) which aims to develop and apply global cloud and ocean eddy resolving climate models. By actually resolving key feedback processes in the climate system at the kilometer scale, as opposed to the current state-of-the-art models, the next-generation models represent a step change in our ability to study cloud and aerosols in the climate system. The models will be run on European supercomputing facilities.

We are searching for a outstanding individual to conduct original research on modelling and/or analysis of Type Ia supernova observations for precision cosmology. Funded by a Wallenberg Foundation research project grant to Hiranya Peiris, Jens Jasche, Ariel Goobar, Jesper Sollerman, and Matthew Hayes, the positions are focussed on our involvement in the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration, preparing for upcoming data from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in instrumentation and data analysis for CMB experiments
We are advertising a postdoc position to work with Dr. Jon E. Gudmundsson on novel research in instrumentation, simulation, and data analysis for experiments studying the cosmic microwave background (CMB), including SPIDER, the Simons Observatory, the LiteBIRD satellite, and CMB-S4. Potential research topics include: data analysis, high-fidelity simulations of optical systematics, development of systems for mm-wave characterization of optical components, and pipeline development for next-generation CMB experiments. Candidates are encouraged to define their own research projects within the scope of the efforts above.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in supernova/kilonova research
The position involves modelling and interpreting supernovae (core-collapse or thermonuclear types) and/or kilonovae (neutron star merger ejecta). The successful applicant will work in the group of Dr. Anders Jerkstrand, which focuses on the theory of light curve and spectral formation in these transients, with aim to develop and apply models to understand their origin, explosion mechanism, and element production. The specific project will depend on the interests and background of the applicant, and several combinations of modelling and data analysis are possible.

We are searching for an outstanding individual to conduct original research on the origin and evolution of cosmic structure using cosmological survey data and novel machine learning methods. Funded by a Simons Foundation grant to Jens Jasche the project will be part of a new collaboration on “Learning the Universe” (www.learning-the-universe.org), focusing on developing and applying novel Data Science and Machine Learning techniques to reconstruct the initial conditions of our universe and test fundamental physics with current and next-generation cosmological surveys.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Researcher in Digitally Mediated Economic Encounters
The position will be in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a focus on video analytic methods. The successful candidate will work with Associate Professor Airi Lampinen at Stockholm University, on research related to digitally mediated social and economic encounters. The research will concern both digitally mediated labor (e.g. gig work via food delivery applications) and peer-to-peer oriented exchange arrangements. Where appropriate and of interest for the sucessful candidate, the researcher can also take part in other projects where expertise in video analytic methods is needed.
