Description
A Senior Researcher position in the area of wearables is available at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI). The candidate is expected to take a leading role in the development of a next-generation wearable device with bioimpedance capabilities, as part of an international scientific project. Other responsibilities may include work on other projects at EDI, and participation in project proposal preparation. This is an open-ended position. Funding is guaranteed for 3 years, as part of the PRAESIIDIUM project, funded by Horizon Europe.
Qualifications
— Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related area;
— Strong hands-on experience in embedded programming and electronics;
— Willingness to lead the development of electronics prototypes suitable for use outside of the lab;
— Good spoken and written English.
Desirable:
— Strong publication record;
— Work experience in international academic projects;
— Proven track record of contributions to the development of prototypes (electronics or software), demonstrators, or products;
— Some evidence of leadership, for instance, supervision of student theses, and participation in project supervision;
— Knowledge of fields related to the project, such as physics and medicine.
