(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoctoral Fellow – Machine learning for spatial omics

Our laboratory has a track record in computational innovations for multi-omics integration, causal inference and machine learning. The fellow will work in a highly multidisciplinary setting embedded in our group. This specific position is connected to the Novo Nordisk foundation funded MOPTIS project, which has the goal to develop novel computational strategies for modelling spatial omics and integrating such modalities with additional single-cell readouts. Among the specific challenges we seek to address is multi-scale spatial tissue reconstruction, alignment for 3D tissue atlasing and population-scale semantic spatial omics integration in human cohorts. Our group has access to unique spatial datasets in human disease contexts, which will underpin these computational aims.

Deadline : 3 July 2023

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Epigenetics

The Hackett group studies the epigenetic basis of genome regulation across scales, from chromatin function to organism response. We aim to to understand the causal and context-specific impact of chromatin states in healthy and diseased tissues, and the potential for epigenetic memory. More information can be found at www.embl.org/groups/hackett/

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral position in structural biology

An ERC-funded postdoctoral position in structural biology is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wojciech Galej at the EMBL Grenoble, France. We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team interested in the structure and function of RNA-protein complexes. Our group investigates various aspects of gene expression, including pre-mRNA splicing, snRNP biogenesis and transcription regulation by the Integrator complex. We use a multidisciplinary approach to tackle complex biological problems by combining cryo-EM/ET, computational modelling, and other biochemical and biophysical methods. The main focus of this position will be structural studies of the splicing machinery.

About The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Germany – Official Website

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is a molecular biology research institution supported by 27 member states, two prospect states, and one associate member state. EMBL was created in 1974 and is an intergovernmental organization funded by public research money from its member states. Research at EMBL is conducted by approximately 85 independent groups covering the spectrum of molecular biology. The list of independent groups at EMBL can be found at www.embl.org. The Laboratory operates from six sites: the main laboratory in Heidelberg, and sites in Hinxton (the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI), in England), Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Rome (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain). EMBL groups and laboratories perform basic research in molecular biology and molecular medicine as well as train scientists, students, and visitors. The organization aids in the development of services, new instruments and methods, and technology in its member states. Israel is the only full member state located outside Europe.
