PhD position summary/title: PhD student (f / m / d) for project: Integrated management of forest and water under changing climatic conditions.
Integrated policy making and implementation is required to take into account the close relationship between forest and water resources. The aim of the research project is to identify risks and measures for the adaptation of forest and water resources to climate change and to provide an overview of regional best practice examples for the integrated management of forest and water resources. The political science doctoral project is characterized by participatory research in dialogue with forest-water experts and uses quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical social research.

(05) PhD Position – Fully Funded
PhD position summary/title: Ph.D. position in Computational Systems Biology.
The FDM (Group Dr. Fleck) is looking for a Ph.D. position in Computational Systems Biology.
This Ph.D. project will be embedded in an international research consortium (CyGenTiG) with the aim to control tissue growth through optogenetics. CyGenTiG is an international collaborative scientific program to develop techniques for controlling living cells, including human cells, with light. The successful Ph.D. candidate will develop multi-scale models for cellular tissue using and extending the agent-based simulation platform PhysiCell. In close collaboration with partners from the consortium he/she has to analyze experimental data and develop the corresponding models for in silico experiments.
