Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoc Research Associate

A full-time postdoctoral research associate is sought for a project on “developing new graphical solution methods for mixed-integer nonlinear programs” under the direction of Danial Davarnia at Iowa State University. This individual will contribute to developing fundamental solution techniques for mixed-integer nonlinear programs based on decision diagrams, using the developed techniques to solve application problems, and testing the solution performance in comparison with modern solvers

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellowship- Student Counseling Services

This position affords the post-doc the opportunity to work in a dynamic university counseling center that serves a diverse undergraduate and graduate student body. Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, the post-doc will provide individual, and group therapy from a short-term therapy model, conduct intake evaluations, crisis assessment and intervention, and provide outreach programs and consultation to the campus community. There are also opportunities for supervision of trainees from a doctoral program in counseling psychology and to pursue concentration areas (for a semester or for the year). Potential concentration areas include the following: Diversity, Eating Disorders, Training & Supervision, Grief & Loss, Group Therapy, Sport Psychology, and Trauma Recovery.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate – Parasitology

The veterinary parasitology lab seeks a post-doctoral research associate who will be an active part of the lab and contribute to research during this training program.  This position will train by studying P-glycoprotein transporters in parasitic nematodes. The incumbent will conduct PCR testing to detect gene expression and will conduct molecular cloning to obtain full-length gene sequences for heterologous expression. In addition, the incumbent will develop methods for isolation of nematode gut cells in culture for flow cytometric analysis.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Spedding Postdoctoral Fellowship – Ames National Laboratory

Applicants with an established publication record and demonstrated skills in a variety of disciplines, including condensed matter physics, chemistry, and materials science, are being sought to advance materials discovery in a multi-disciplinary research environment. Key areas of research include: quantum materials and quantum information systems; chemical catalysis and separations; plastic upcycling; critical materials, magnetic materials, and rare earth science; and materials for harsh conditions. These reflect the Laboratory’s strong expertise in rare earths, materials design, synthesis, and characterization; solid state nuclear magnetic resonance; computational chemistry including exascale code development and applications; condensed matter theory; and computational materials science and materials theory. There is also special interest in the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning techniques to accelerate both scientific discovery and the transition from fundamental science to application, and high throughput experimentation and simulation.

The Digital Agriculture Innovations Team within the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University is accepting applications for a Research Scientist I/II who will be responsible for supporting research and discovery projects at the cross section of agronomy, crop production systems, ag machinery, and autonomy systems. This position provides a diverse work environment focused on experimental testing of ag materials and products within a controlled system or environment.  The ISU Digital Agriculture Innovation Team (www.isudigitalag.org) consists of professional staff and graduate students who work closely with agricultural industry partners to develop innovative technology solutions for agriculture.
