Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-Doctoral Associate

We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to studying the role of adherens junction proteins in the regulation of intestinal stem cell homeostasis and regeneration from colitis. Interested applicants should hold a PhD, or equivalent degrees (e.g. MD, DVM, etc.), earned no earlier than 2018. Considerable laboratory experience and a strong background in physiology, molecular biology, and animal models are required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are expected. Only individuals who are currently legally able to work in the US will be considered for this position.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doctoral Associate

The University of Maryland in conjunction with the NIST Center for Neutron Research is seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct research on solid electrolyte cathode interfaces. In this position, the postdoc will apply Neutron Reflectometry and / or Cold Neutron Depth profiling and other thin film characterization techniques to investigate degradation mechanisms in occurring at interfaces between Li-garnet (LLZO) and both cathodes and cathode compatible electrolytes. This position will be based at the NIST Center for Neutron Research in Gaithersburg MD although frequent interactions and some research activities will be carried out with collaborators at the nearby University of Maryland College Park and the Army Research Lab in Adelphi MD.

The Kuo Lab in the Fischell Department of Bioengineering has multiple openings for Postdoctoral Researchers. Project openings span mechanobiology of embryonic/fetal tendon development; novel therapeutics for adult tendon injuries and disease; interventions for musculoskeletal birth defects; and medical device and diagnostics research.

Candidates may choose from existing projects or work with the PI to propose new directions. Projects are primarily focused on musculoskeletal tissues (tendon, ligament, muscle), and different projects may span multiple research areas, including regenerative medicine, immunology, stem cell biology, developmental biology, mechanobiology, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and/or wound healing.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-Doctoral Associate

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Associate position at the University of Maryland Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR). Successful candidate will work on developing advanced multifunctional polymers for use in drug delivery applications. The successful candidate is expected to design, plan, and execute multi-step organic synthesis and purification of polymers; summarize and interpret analytical data, participate in developing nanoparticulate formulations; contribute to the structure-activity relationship analysis and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo biological performance; work with internal and external teams to expeditiously deliver formulations for biological evaluation, and generate research reports and presentations for both internal and external use. Duties also include management of daily functions of the laboratory, including maintenance of common stocks of materials and reagents and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post Doctoral Associate

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position in computational thermodynamics and kinetics as well as pertinent experimental measurements is immediately available in Professor JC Zhao’s group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland (UMD) in College Park, MD. The successful candidate will be conducting full-time research in developing diffusion mobility databases for alloy systems by integrating experimental measurements with mobility assessments. The candidate will have opportunities to expand into other projects in Prof. Zhao’s group to broaden his/her research horizon, including applying the CALPHAD (Calculation of Phase Diagrams) approach to alloy design.
