A postdoc position in computational materials chemistry is available to harness the power of first principles simulations and data-driven methods to design sustainable materials. In this project, we will focus on modelling finite temperature properties and the effects of compositional and structural disorder on materials properties. The project is highly flexible and can be tailored to the specific skills and interests of the candidate.

Postdoc summary/title: POST DOC FOR HEALTHCARE COMMUNICATION
The project focuses on development of new counseling practices in community pharmacy for patients suffering from anxiety or depression by addressing current needs of patients and pharmacy staff in dealing with medicines. The project is sponsored by Velux, and collaboration partners are Pharmakon, Psykiatrifonden, Bedre Psykiatri– landsforeningen for pårørerende, The Danish Committee for Health Education, the Department of Social Pharmacy at the University of Copenhagen and the Department of Communication and Psychology at the University of Aalborg.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN STATISTICS TO DEVELOP BAYESIAN PRIVACY METRICS FOR SYNTHETIC HEALTH DATA (2024-224-05725)
The project is a part of the ambitious Novo Nordisk Foundation Data Science Collaborative Programme,“Synthetic health data: ethical development and deployment via deep learning approaches(SE3D)” which is a collaboration between Head of Center and Professor Martin Bøgsted, Center for Clinical Data Science, Aalborg University, Professor Anders Krogh and Data Scientist Jennifer Bartell, Center for Health Data Science, University of Copenhagen, and Professor Jan Trzaskowski, Department of Law, Aalborg University who are responsible for, respectively, developing privacy metrics, developing generative AI workflows, and ensuring GDPR compliance of the developed methods. There will also be interaction with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Data Science Infrastructure Programme,“the National Health Data Science Sandbox”, a network of data scientists and researchers across five Danish universities building training and research infrastructure.

We are searching for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team, a forefront spin-out specializing in ultrapure water production for offshore green hydrogen. The focus of this position is to improve the heat management within electrolyzer systems vital to our water production technology.
The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Possession of a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in areas such as thermal management, heat transfer, electrolyzer systems, power to X, etc., coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including practical experience with pilot systems, data analysis, and modeling.
- A collaborative nature, capable of working in a multidisciplinary team, and open to acquiring new skills.
- Project management experience and a driven approach to achieving research goals.
- Methodical and systematic in work practices, with the ability to operate independently.
- An integrative and cooperative personality, possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.

Klinisk Instituttet arbejder tæt sammen med de nordjyske hospitaler om forskning og undervisning. Hovedparten af instituttets personale har, ud over ansættelsen på instituttet, samtidig en hospitalsansættelse.
Klinisk Institut bedriver forskning inden for de kliniske specialer, som også findes på hospitalerne, og forskningen er struktureret i de samme forskningsenheder, som hospitalerne anvender. Instituttet har tilknyttet cirka 40 forskningsenheder med hvert deres lægefaglige speciale. Ud over disse forskningsenheder har instituttet tilknyttet en række andre forskningsenheder og centre. Instituttet har omkring 500 ansatte og 160 indskrevne PhD studerende.

Research areas will be within the domain of risk, resilience and sustainability of complex systems. This involves utilization of advanced techniques for probabilistic modeling and analysis of systems, and their further development such as to enhance their efficiency, ensure consistency in modeling relative to decision contexts and their utilization for understanding system characteristics such as risk, vulnerability, robustness, resilience and sustainability. To this end also modern techniques of big data analysis and Artificial Intelligence is utilized. Application areas are manifold but a significant part of the focus is directed towards integrity management of renewable offshore wind turbine structures and end of life management of offshore oil and gas production facilities.
